BOROUGH OF THAMES.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE FOR REPAYMENT OF A LOAN.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Thames Borough Council hereby resolves—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £1,500, authorized to be raised by the
said Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the follow-
ing purpose—to construct a concrete channel for the re-
ception of sewage in that portion of the Karaka Creek within
the Borough of Thames and East of Pollen Street—the said
Thames Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of four farthings in the pound upon the rateable value
(on the basis of the annual rent value) of all rateable pro-
perty of the Borough of Thames, comprising the whole of
the Borough of Thames ; and that such special rate shall be
an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid
off.
We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a reso-
lution passed at a special and properly constituted meeting
of the Thames Borough Council held on the twenty-fourth
day of August, 1914.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Huntly Town Board hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £6,000, authorized to be raised by the
Huntly Town Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for
the provision of electric lighting and power supply for the
Huntly Town District, the said Huntly Town Board hereby
makes and levies a special rate of two-thirds of a penny in
the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property
of the Huntly Town District, comprising the whole of the
Huntly Town District ; and that such special rate shall be
an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of 36 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed
by a meeting of the Huntly Town Board held on Thursday,
23rd July, 1914.

MASTERTON COUNTY.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Masterton County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £600, authorized to be raised by the
Masterton County Council jointly with the Castlepoint
County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for con-
structing Leach's Road, the said Masterton County Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and
one-eighth of a penny (1⅛d.) in the pound upon the rateable
value of all rateable property of the Leach's Road Loan
Special-rating Area, comprising Sections 12, 14, Block XI,
Sections 15 (243 acres), 22, 14, 15 (55 acres), 193, 194, and
part 195, Block XII, Puketoi Survey District ; and that
such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the
first day of August in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed
at a duly convened and constituted meeting of the Masterton
County Council held on the 14th day of July, 1914, and
confirmed at a like meeting on the 11th day of August, 1914.

MASTERTON COUNTY.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Masterton County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £600, authorized to be raised by the
Masterton County Council, under the above-mentioned Act,
for metalling the Riversdale Road, the said Masterton County
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of four-
fifteenths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value
of all rateable property of the Riversdale Road Loan Special-
rating Area, comprising Section 700, parts of Sections 37,
697, 695, 696, 698, 699, part Motuwaireka N.R., Block XV,
Rewa Survey District ; part Sections 813, 33, 35, 37, and
Section 36, Block III, Kaiwhata Survey District ; parts of
Sections 58, 684, 688, 691, Block XI, Sections 43, 44, 45, 47,
48, 62, parts of Sections 46, 49, 50, 51, 63, Block XII, Sec-
tions 40, 694, part 693, Block XV, Sections 39, 42, and
Waipuna Native Reserve, Block XVI, Rewa Survey District ;
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on
the first day of August in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed

County Council held on the 14th day of July, 1914, and con-

give notice that I intend applying on the 28th September
next to have my name placed on the Medical Register for
the Dominion of New Zealand ; and that I have deposited
the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Registrar-
General.
