  • Exclusive of the additional emoluments which are also received by each officer, as shown in paragraph 1 (v).

NOTE.—The increments of pay for increased seniority will be subject to such conditions as may be prescribed.

ADDITIONAL EMOLUMENTS.—ALLOWANCE FOR UNIFORM, RATIONS, AND MEDICAL ATTENDANCE.

  1. (v.) In addition to “active pay” and “deferred pay,” each warrant officer, commissioned warrant officer, and officer promoted from rank of commissioned warrant officer, shall receive—

In cash—1s. per diem, allowance towards cost of uniform.
Rations in kind, or allowance in lieu—
Sea-going ships, 1s. 4d. per diem.
Harbour ships and establishments, 1s. 2d. per diem.
Medical attendance, valued at 3d. per diem.

Subject to the approval of the Naval Authority, allowance towards cost of uniform, covering a period not exceeding the first eighteen months’ service in warrant rank, may be paid in advance to warrant officers on promotion to such rank.

SPECIAL ALLOWANCES.—WARRANT OFFICERS, ETC.

  1. (vi.) The following allowances, in addition to “active pay,” shall be paid to officers while employed (and only during such period) on the special duty or in the special circumstances mentioned :—
