Setting apart Land for Workers' Dwellings in Mahora Settlement, Hawke's Bay Land District.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of August, 1914.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section forty-seven of the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby set apart the settlement land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of the Workers' Dwellings Act, 1910.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres, more or less, being Section 35, Mahora Settlement, Block XV, Heretaunga Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Section 12 for a distance of 400·2 links; towards the north-east by Section 13 for a distance of 999·4 links; towards the south-east by Pakowhai Road for a distance of 400·2 links; and towards the south-west by a public road for a distance of 999·4 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 19209/114A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Declaring Road in Block XII, Rangaunu Survey District, to be a Government Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of August, 1914.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a Government road.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road declared a Government road: 4 acres 0 roods 34 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Wiwhero Block (17134, blue). Situated in Block XII, Rangaunu Survey District.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 34610, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured green.

Declaring Portion of Kauroa to Pakoka Road, in the Raglan County, to be a County Road.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of August, 1914.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of Kauroa to Pakoka Road in the Auckland Land District, Raglan County, commencing at the north-eastern corner of Section N. 88, Blocks V and IX, Karioi Survey District, and proceeding thence in a south-easterly direction generally adjoining or passing through the said Section N. 88, Blocks V and IX, Section S. 88, Block IX, Section No. 90, Blocks IX and X, Sections 107, 106, 124, 133B, 125, Block X, Karioi Survey District, and terminating at the south-eastern boundary of the said Section 125, Block X, Karioi Survey District, being a distance of 2 miles 50·75 chains, more or less; as the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 36050, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured brown and marked A.B.

North Canterbury Hospital and Charitable Aid Board declared a Local Authority for the Purposes of the Public Health Act.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this seventeenth day of August, 1914.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section eighty-three of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, and section fifteen of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Amendment Act, 1913, it is provided that, on the recommendation of the Inspector-General of Hospitals, and with the consent of the local authority concerned, the Governor may by Order in Council, upon such terms and conditions as he thinks fit, declare that, for such of the purposes of the Public Health Act, 1908, as are mentioned in the Order, the Board of the Hospital District within which the district of the local authority is situated shall be deemed to be the local authority of that district:

And whereas the Inspector-General of Hospitals has recommended that the North Canterbury Hospital and Charitable Aid Board shall be deemed to be the local authority for the purposes of the Public Health Act, 1908, within the district of the Waipara County:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities above recited, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that, for such of the purposes of the Public Health Act as are mentioned in the Schedule hereto, the North Canterbury Hospital and Charitable Aid Board shall be deemed to be the local authority within the Waipara County.

SCHEDULE.

SECTIONS of the Public Health Act, 1908, containing the purposes of that Act for which the said districts are combined, and for which purposes the North Canterbury Hospital and Charitable Aid Board is to be deemed the local authority:—

Mortuaries or morgues: Sections 46, 49, and 50.
Privies, ashpits, and drains: Sections 53, 55, and 56 (to apply only to the districts of those local authorities in which no sewerage systems exist).
Scavenging and cleaning: Sections 61 (1), 61 (2) (to apply only when so recommended by the District Health Officer), and 63.
Nuisances: Sections 70–75 and 77–84.
Offensive trades: Sections 85–88.
Inspection of food: Section 89.
Insanitary buildings: Sections 90 and 91.
Miscellaneous provisions: Sections 94, 98, 100, 104, 106, 107, 109, 112; 108 only in so far as it relates to making by-laws for the purposes specified in the aforementioned sections.
