declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be
Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1908.

In the Hawke's Bay Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 21308,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways, at
Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zea-
land and its Dependencies; and issued under
the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Govern-
ment House at Wellington, this twentieth day

the Purposes of the Kawakawa–Hokianga Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use,
convenience, and enjoyment of the Kawakawa–
Hokianga Railway to take further land in Punakitere
Survey District, in addition to land previously acquired for
the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me
by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of
the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and
authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the
Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above
mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

KOHEWHATA BLOCK.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land taken: 1 rood
30·1 perches (yellow), portion of Section 41; and 0·4 perch
(blue), portion of Section 65.
Situated in Block IV, Punakitere Survey District (17550).

All in the Auckland Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 36147,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and
thereon coloured yellow and blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William
de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents
of the owners and mortgagees of the land described in the
First Schedule hereto, and of the Wairarapa South County
Council, being the local authority in whose district the said
land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Tiffin Survey
District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do
hereby, with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as
closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto,
which is not required by reason of the road described in the
First Schedule hereto.
