HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the Territorial Force :—
Commands.
Lieutenant-Colonel the Honourable Robert Heaton Rhodes, T.D., M.P., to command a mounted rifle brigade for a period of one year. Dated 1st June, 1914.
New Zealand Garrison Artillery.
Lieutenant Herbert Walter Martyn-Roberts, from the Unattached List (b), to be Lieutenant. Dated 25th June, 1914.
Corps of New Zealand Engineers.
(New Zealand Railway Battalions.—North Island.)
The undermentioned to be Lieutenants (on probation) :—
Bertie Leonard Redding Reeve. Dated 21st July, 1914.
James Doran McComish. Dated 21st July, 1914.
Arthur George Aldridge. Dated 1st August, 1914.
New Zealand Post and Telegraph Corps.
Lieutenant-Colonel David Miller, Staff Officer to the Director of Post and Telegraph Services, to be Assistant Director of Post and Telegraph Services. Dated 22nd July, 1914.
Captain Harry Ernest Combs, Adjutant North Island Battalion, to be Staff Officer to the Director of Post and Telegraph Services. Dated 22nd July, 1914.
5th (Wellington) Regiment.
Quartermaster and Lieutenant James Ferdinand Groom Roberts is transferred to the New Zealand Army Service Corps. Dated 18th July, 1914.
New Zealand Army Service Corps.
Captain George Thompson Hall, Reserve of Officers, 9th (Hawke’s Bay) Regiment, to be Major (on probation). Dated 18th July, 1914.
Quartermaster and Lieutenant James Ferdinand Groom Roberts, from the 5th (Wellington) Regiment, to be Lieutenant. Dated 18th July, 1914.
Unattached List (b).
Lieutenant Herbert Walter Martyn-Roberts is transferred to the New Zealand Garrison Artillery. Dated 25th June, 1914.
9th (Hawke’s Bay) Regiment.

The notice relative to the retirement of Captain George Thompson Hall appearing in the New Zealand Gazette dated 25th June, 1914, is hereby cancelled.
