vested in His Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named in Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, whether the same be granted or not ; and in the case of any reserve made under the authority of section three hundred and twenty-one of the Land Act, 1908, if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose for which such reserve was set apart to any other purpose, or if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to exchange any of the land comprised in such reserve for other land of equal value, to be dedicated to one or more purposes named in the said Class II, the Governor may, by notice gazetted, make such change, exchange, or dedication, as the case may be, and in such notice declare the manner and terms in which the same is intended to be so made :

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, aforesaid, declare my intention to change the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from railway purposes to gravel purposes.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 12 perches, more or less, being Reserve 3715 (formerly part of Reserve 1467) situated in Blocks X and XI, Ashburton Survey District, and bounded north-eastward by Rural Section 26523, 416·3 links ; southward by a public road, 663·5 links ; and north-westward by a public road, 516·6 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less : as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 52446/6, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured pink.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fourteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

Land temporarily reserved for the Use of the Department of Agriculture, Industries, and Commerce in the Marlborough Land District.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Marlborough Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the use of the Department of Agriculture, Industries, and Commerce.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 37 acres 2 roods 10 perches, more or less, being Section 19, Block X, Clifford Bay Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west partly by a right-of-way and partly by Section 15, Block X, Clifford Bay Survey District, 3123·5 links ; towards the north-east by Section 14, Block X, Clifford Bay Survey District, 278·4 links ; towards the south-east by the railway reserve and a road, 1860·3 links and 985·8 links respectively ; towards the south, south-west, and west by a road 50 links wide, 677·2 links, 327·7 links, 395·7 links, 123·1 links, and 583·5 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less : as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 46664/302, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-fourth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

General Regulations of the Defence Forces amended.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority conferred on me by the Defence Act, 1909, and its amendments, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend, in the manner and to the extent set forth in the Schedule hereto, such of the regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces made on the eleventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 22, of the thirteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen ; and I do hereby declare that such amendment shall come into force on the twenty-second day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.

SCHEDULE.

REGULATION 184 is hereby amended by deleting all the words after “entitled,” and substituting the following in lieu thereof: “to actual and reasonable expenses only when travelling to or returning from the annual camp.”
