purposes of such public work the land described in the
Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is
hereby further given that the plan of the land so required
to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Pirinoa, and
is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected
by the execution of the said public work or by the taking
of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to the
taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send
such writing, within forty days from the first publication
of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wel-
ington.

Public Service Stores Tender Board.—Supply and Delivery
of Motor-cycles.
Wellington, 27th June, 1914.
TENDERS will be received at the office of the Chairman
(Government Printing Office) not later than 5 p.m. on
Tuesday, the 21st July, 1914, for the supply and delivery of
six motor-cycles, 3½ h.p., three-speed gear. Tenders must be
addressed to the Chairman, Public Service Stores Tender
Board, Wellington. Immediate delivery of the motor-cycles
is required. Specifications and conditions of tendering may
be obtained at the office of the Secretary, Post and Telegraph
Stores, Waterloo Quay, Wellington. A deposit of £10 must
accompany each tender.
The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

Public Service Stores Tender Board.—Supply and Delivery of
Bicycles.
Wellington, 26th June, 1914.
TENDERS will be received at the office of the Chairman
(Government Printing Office) not later than 5 p.m. on
Monday, the 20th July, 1914, for the supply and delivery of
200 (or more) bicycles, light roadster, standard model, with
complete set of B.S.A. fittings, during a period of two years
as from the 1st August, 1914. Tenders must be addressed
to the Chairman, Public Service Stores Tender Board, Wel-
ington. Delivery of the bicycles is to be made at the
rate of five per week, and the successful tenderer will be
required to give security in the sum of £200 for the due
performance of the contract. Particulars and conditions of
tendering and specifications may be obtained at the offices
of the Controller of Stores, Post and Telegraph Department,
Wellington, the District Storekeeper, Post and Telegraph
Department, Christchurch, or the Telegraph Engineers at
Auckland and Dunedin. Each tender must be accompanied
by a deposit of £25.
The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

OTAGO HARBOUR.—AMENDED BEARING OF LEADING-LIGHTS.

THE Otago Harbour Board have notified that the bearing
of the entrance leading-lights to Otago Harbour is
179° 3′ (S. 19° 32′ E. magnetic), in lieu of 180½° (S. 18° E.
magnetic) as previously given in Notice No. 32 of 1914.

2532; “New Zealand Pilot,” eighth edition, 1908, Chap-
