Also all that area in the Wellington Land District, containing 50 acres 2 roods 13 perches, more or less, being part of Suburban Section No. 42, Suburban Sections Nos. 43, 44, 97, 98, and 99, and Block X, Town of Taihape. Bounded towards the north, east, and south generally by the main road, by a public road, and by a road and river-bank reserve along the bank of the Hautapu River, by other part of Suburban Section No. 42, and again by road and river-bank reserve aforesaid; and towards the west generally by a public road, by Tui Street, and by the abutment of Tui Street, by Block No. IX, Town of Taihape, and by a public road.

Also all that area in the Wellington Land District, containing 41 acres 3 roods 10 perches, more or less, being Suburban Section No. 35, Town of Taihape. Bounded towards the north generally by Suburban Sections Nos. 28, 32, 33, and 34 ; towards the east generally by the abutment of a road, by Block No. XIII, Town of Taihape, by a public road, and by Block XI, Town of Taihape; and towards the west generally by Adamson’s Track, and by Suburban Sections Nos. 31, 30, and 29, Town of Taihape.

As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. I/234A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Miller’s Flat Domain.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of June, 1914.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain:

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the twenty-second day of May, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, the land described in the Schedule hereto was brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act:

And whereas it appears expedient to appoint a Domain Board to control the domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

THOMAS RYAN JONES,
THOMAS BALLANTYNE, and
MARCUS FAIGAN

to be the Miller’s Flat Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the third day of August, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Athenæum Hall, Miller’s Flat, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.


SCHEDULE.

MILLER’S FLAT DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 31 perches, more or less, being Section 113, Block III, Benger Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by a railway reserve, 92·4 and 152·7 links; towards the south-east by Crown lands, 286·1 links; towards the south-west by a public road fronting the Clutha River, 244·1 links; and towards the north-west by Crown lands, 273·2 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1912/187, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Number of Commissioners of Town District of Papakura increased.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the Town Boards Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby increase the number of the Commissioners of the Town District of Papakura to seven, such increase to commence from the general election of members to be held in September next.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-seventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

Declaring a Road-line through Land in the Fortification Hill Settlement, Southland Land District, to be closed.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

WHEREAS a report has been received from the Surveyor-General from which it appears that the road described in the Schedule hereto is unformed and unused, and that the said road intersects land acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and is not suitable to the subdivision of such land:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand in pursuance and exercise of section eighty of the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do by this notice hereby close the road hereinafter described; and I do hereby declare that the said road shall thereupon become subject to the said Act.

Notifying Lands in Marlborough Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Monday, the seventeenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.
