Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Pahiatua Domain.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of June, 1914.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by section forty-seven of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, by Order in Council gazetted, appoint any local authority to be the Domain Board having, subject to the said Act, control of any public domain :

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the twenty-third day of August, one thousand nine hundred and six, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the thirtieth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and six, a Domain Board was appointed to control the Pahiatua Domain :

And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the twenty-second day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen :

And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the domain :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

THE PAHIATUA BOROUGH COUNCIL

to be the Pahiatua Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act ; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the third day of August, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Borough Council Chambers, Pahiatua, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.


SCHEDULE.

PAHIATUA DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1½ acres 3 roods, more or less, being Makakahi Island, situated in Block VIII, Mangahao Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east, east, and south-east generally by the Borough of Pahiatua, and by a public road connecting Manns Street and Palmerston North Road ; and towards the south-west, west, and north-west generally by the Mangatainoka River : as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. I/361A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of June, 1914.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain :

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the eighth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and four, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the ninth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and four, certain powers were delegated to the Sefton Domain Board for a period of ten years :

And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the seventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen :

And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the domain :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

to be the Sefton Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act ; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the tenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Domain Board Office, Sefton, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.


SCHEDULE.

SEFTON DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 14 acres 2 roods 16 perches, more or less, being parts of Rural Sections 3135 and 6675, situate in Block IV, Rangiora Survey District. Commencing at a point on the north side of the road forming the southern boundary of the said Section 6675, distant 550 links from Pemberton’s Road ; thence northerly by a right line at right angles to the north side of the said road, 1000 links ; thence easterly by a right line parallel to the latter road, 1379·5 links ; thence south-easterly by a right line, 1017 links, to a point on the north side of the said road, distant 2091·5 links from Pemberton’s Road ; thence westerly by the north side of the said road forming the southern boundary of Section 6675, 1541·5 links, to the point of commencement : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less : as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. I/127A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
