Avenue, in the Town of Remuera Extension No. 39, of a
Width of not less than 66ft.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon
me by section 15 of the Land Act, 1908, I hereby authorize
the laying-off of Maungarei Road and Waiata Avenue,
in the Town of Remuera Extension No. 39, Auckland Land
District, of a width of not less than 66 ft. instead of 99 ft.

Special Order made by the Waimarino County Council in-
creasing Number of Ridings and describing the Amended
Boundaries thereof.

THE following special order, made by the Waimarino
County Council, is published in accordance with the
provisions of the Counties Act, 1908.

WAIMARINO COUNTY COUNCIL.
THAT, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 23
of the Counties Act, 1908, the Waimarino County Council
resolves as follows:-
(1.) That the present division of the said County of Wai-
marino into seven ridings is revoked, and in lieu thereof the
said county shall be divided into eight ridings, to be called
respectively Raetihi Riding, Ohakune Riding, Manganui
Riding, Huikumu Riding, Parapara Riding, Karioi Riding,
Ruapehu Riding, and Ruatiti Riding, which said ridings
are respectively described in the Schedule hereto.
(2.) The said Waimarino County Council shall consist of
eight members, who shall be elected as follows :-
(a.) The electors of the Raetihi Riding, Ohakune Riding,
Manganui Riding, Huikumu Riding, Parapara Riding,
Karioi Riding, Ruapehu Riding, and Ruatiti Riding
shall each elect one Councillor.
(3.) The alteration hereby made shall take effect on and
after the 11th day of November, 1914, being the day upon
which the triennial election of Councillors is to be held.
SCHEDULE.
Raetihi Riding.
Commencing at a point where the Amoku Ridge Road
joins the Pipiriki-Raetihi Road; thence generally north
by the said Amoku Ridge Road to the eastern boundary of
Section 26, Block VI, Makotuku Survey District ; thence
due north by the said eastern boundary of the said Sec-
tion 26, Block VI, Makotuku Survey District, to the south
boundary of Section 8, Block VI, Makotuku Survey District ;
thence due east by the said south boundary of the said
Section 8, Block VI, Makotuku Survey District, and that
line produced to the Makotuku Stream; thence generally
south by the said Makotuku Stream to a point in line with
the south boundary of Section 22, Block VI, Makotuku
Survey District ; thence west by that line and the south
boundary of the said Section 22, Block VI, Makotuku Survey
District, to the west side of Islington Street, Raetihi, being
the eastern boundary of Section 19, Block VI, Makotuku
Survey District ; thence north by the west side of Islington
Street to the south side of Grey Street ; thence due west
by the said south side of Grey Street to the Hukaroa Road ;
then generally north by the Hukaroa Road to the starting-
point.
Ohakune Riding.
Commencing at a point where the northern boundary of
Section 3, Block VII, Tauakira Survey District, joins the
Wanganui River ; thence generally south by the said Wanga-
nui River to the southern boundary of the Waimarino County ;
then generally east and north by the said south boundary
of the Waimarino County to the Waokaramu Stream ;
then north-west by the said Waokaramu Stream to the
east boundary of Block II, Ngamatea Survey District ;
then north by the said east boundary of the said Block II,
Ngamatea Survey District, to the centre of the Ohotu-
Karioi Road ; then east by the centre of the said Ohotu-
Karioi Road to the centre of the Junction Road ; then
generally north by the centre of the said Junction Road
to the centre of the Oruakukuru-Karioi Road ; thence west
by the centre of the said Oruakukuru-Karioi Road and that
Varied Notice fixing Closing-hours of certain Shops in the
Wyndham Town District under the Shops and Offices Act.
WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority
of the occupiers of all the shops (excepting bakers,
confectioners, fishmongers, fruiterers, hairdressers, refresh-
ment-room keepers, and tobacconists) in the Town District
of Wyndham, has been forwarded to me, desiring that all
shops (not excepted as aforesaid) in the town district shall
be closed each Saturday evening at the hour of 9 o'clock :
And whereas the Wyndham Town Board has certified that
the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of
the occupiers of all the shops (excepting those mentioned in
the first paragraph hereof) within the town district :
Now, therefore, I, Francis Henry Dillon Bell, acting for
and on behalf of the Minister of Labour, in pursuance of
section 25 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908; do hereby
direct that from and after the 1st day of June, 1914, all
shops (excepting those mentioned in the first paragraph
hereof) in the Town District of Wyndham shall be closed in
accordance with such requisition.
The notice gazetted on 28th June, 1906, fixing the closing-
hours of drapers', clothiers', and mercers' shops is hereby
varied accordingly.

Notice fixing Closing-hours of Hairdressing Shops in the Borough
of Newmarket under the Shops and Offices Act.
WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a
majority of the occupiers of all the hairdressing
shops in the Borough of Newmarket, has been forwarded to
me, desiring that all such shops within the borough shall be
closed in the evening of working-days as follows : On the
half-holiday, at 1 p.m.; 10 p.m. on one day, which shall be
Wednesday in the case of those observing Saturday, and
Saturday in the case of those observing Wednesday, as the
statutory half-holiday ; and 8 p.m. on the other four working-
days in the week, except the day previous to a public holiday
when it shall be 10 p.m. :
And whereas the Newmarket Borough Council has certified
that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority
of the occupiers of all the hairdressing shops within the
borough :
Now, therefore, I, Francis Henry Dillon Bell, acting for
and on behalf of the Minister of Labour, in pursuance of
section 25 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, do hereby
direct that from and after the 1st day of June, 1914, all hair-
dressing shops in the Borough of Newmarket shall be closed
in accordance with such requisition.

Notice fixing Closing-hours of Tobacconists' Shops in the
Borough of Newmarket under the Shops and Offices Act.
WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority
of the occupiers of all the tobacconists' shops in the
Borough of Newmarket, has been forwarded to me, desiring
that all such shops within the borough shall be closed in the
evening of working-days as follows : On one day at 1 p.m.
on half-holiday; 11 p.m. on one night, which shall be Wed-
nesday in the case of those observing Saturday, and Saturday
in the case of those observing Wednesday, as the statutory
half-holiday ; 8.30 p.m. on the other four working-days in
the week, and on the said four working-days in the months
of December and January, 10 p.m. :
And whereas the Newmarket Borough Council has certified
that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority
of the occupiers of all the tobacconists' shops within the
borough :
Now, therefore, I, Francis Henry Dillon Bell, acting for
and on behalf of the Minister of Labour, in pursuance of
section 25 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, do hereby
direct that from and after the 1st day of June, 1914, all
tobacconists' shops in the Borough of Newmarket shall be
closed in accordance with such requisition.
