Declaring a Road-line through Land in the Waiarikiki Settlement
to be closed.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
WHEREAS a report has been received from the Sur-
veyor-General from which it appears that the road
described in the Schedule hereto is unformed and unused,
and that the said road intersects land acquired under the
Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and is not suitable to the
subdivision of such land :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of section eighty of the said Act,
and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling
me in this behalf, do by this notice hereby close the road
hereinafter described ; and I do hereby declare that the said
road shall thereupon become subject to the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
WAIARIKIKI SETTLEMENT.
All in the Southland Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as
above mentioned, and deposited in the Head Office, Depart-
ment of Lands and Survey, at Wellington.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-fifth day of May, one thousand nine
hundred and fourteen.

Land set apart for a Municipal Endowment in the Town o!
Alexandra, Otago Land District.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
WHEREAS by section seventeen of the Land Act, 1908
(hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is provided
that the reserves to be made by the Governor for any exist-
ing borough or town district under that section shall be made
only in cases where reserves for the same purpose do not
exist therein, or, if existing, do not equal or exceed the
amount of reserves authorized to be made under section
fifteen of the said Act :
And whereas the existing municipal reserves in the Borough
of Alexandra do not equal the amount of such reserves autho-
rized by the said section fifteen, and it is deemed expedient
to make the reserve hereinafter mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred
upon me by the said Act, do hereby declare that the land
enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same
is hereby reserved as an endowment or for the use of the
Corporation of the Borough of Alexandra as constituted by
Proclamation dated the thirtieth day of September, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight, and published in
the New Zealand Gazette No. 95, of the third day of October,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight.
SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Otago Land District, containing by
admeasurement 15 acres 1 rood 23 perches, more or less,
being Section 1, Block XXXIX, Town of Alexandra. Bounded
towards the north-east by Walton Street and a public road,
1914·6 links ; towards the south-east by said road, 1729·4
links ; towards the west by Sections 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1,
Block XXVIII, Town of Alexandra, 730·7 links ; towards
the north by Deel Street, 124·9 links ; again towards the
west by a street, 702·6 links ; towards the south by Skird
Street, 300 links ; again towards the west by Section 12,
Block XIV of aforesaid town, 137 links ; and towards the
north-west by part of said Section 12 and Sections 13, 14,
15, 16, and 17 of said Block XIV, 522·9 links : be all
the aforesaid linkages more or less : as the same is delineated
on the plan marked L. and S. 1913/1055A, deposited in the
Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Welling-
ton, and thereon bordered red.

this nineteenth day of May, one thousand nine
hundred and fourteen.

Land temporarily reserved for a Public Cemetery in Block XII,
Tahoraite Survey District, Hawke’s Bay Land District.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
WHEREAS by the three - hundred - and - twenty - first
section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that
the Governor may from time to time, either by general or
particular description, and whether the same has been
surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwith-
standing that the same may be then held under pastoral
license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required
for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily
reserve from sale the land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District
described in the Schedule hereunder written, for a public
cemetery.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing
by admeasurement 4 acres, more or less, being Section 12,
Block XII, Tahoraite Survey District. Bounded towards
the north-west by Section 4, Block XII, Tahoraite Survey
District, for a distance of 758·4 links ; towards the north-east
by said Section 4 for a distance of 547·8 links ; towards the
south-east by a public road for a distance of 703 links ; and
towards the south-west by Section 11 of said Block XII
for a distance of 550·6 links : be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less : as the same is delineated on the plan marked
L. and S. II/24, deposited in the Head Office, Department of
Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this nineteenth day of May, one thousand nine
hundred and fourteen.
