All that area in the Clutha County commencing at Catlins
Cone, Trig. D, and bounded on the north and north-east
generally by a straight line from Trig. D in an easterly
direction to the boundary-line on the south-west corner of
Run 258; thence by that boundary-line to its junction with
the western boundary-line of Run 129; thence by the western
and south-western boundary-line of the said Run 129 to its
junction with the Catlins River; thence by the centre of the
said Catlins River to a block-line on the eastern side of
Block IV, Woodland Survey District; thence by the said
block-line in a southern direction, being also the eastern
boundary-line of Block VII, Woodland Survey District, to
the Purakanui Stream; thence by the centre of the said
stream to the ocean; thence by the ocean in an eastern and
southern direction to the Chaslands River; thence by the
said Chaslands River (up stream) to the north-west corner of
Section 29, Block XII, Tautuku Survey District; thence by
a line due west to Black Horn Hill; thence by the summit
of the watershed over Bleak Hill to Catlins Cone, Trig. D,
the point of commencement.

Clinton Riding.

All that area in the Clutha County bounded towards the
north generally by a line along the middle of the road running
from the Waipahi River at the north-west corner of Sec-
tion 14, Block XVI, Waipahi Survey District, to the south-
west corner of Section 6, Block VI, Waipahi Survey District;
thence by the western and northern boundaries of the said
Section 6 to the western boundary-line of Block III, Waipahi
Survey District; thence in a northerly direction by the said
block-line to the north-west corner of Section 23, Block III,
Waipahi Survey District; thence by the northern boundary
of the said Section 23 to a road-line; thence by the centre
line of that road-line (Clinton Tapanui Road) to its junction
with the Clinton Town District; thence by the northern and
eastern boundary of the said Clinton Town District to the
Kuriwao Stream at the south-east corner of Section 17,
Block IX, Pomahaka Survey District; thence along the
middle of that stream and the northern side of the Southern
Trunk Railway to the middle of the Waiwera Stream; thence
towards the east generally by the middle of the Waiwera
Stream to the northern boundary of Run 516; thence by the
said northern and eastern boundary of the said Run 516 in a
south-easterly and southerly direction to the block-line on the
eastern side of Block VIII, Warepa Survey District; thence
by the said block-line in a southerly direction to a road-line
at the south-eastern corner of Section 3, Block VIII, Warepa
Survey District; thence by the south generally by the centre-
line of that road in a north-westerly direction to the block-
line at the north-eastern corner of Section 4, Block X, Kuriwao
Survey District; thence by that block-line being the eastern
boundary of the said Section 4, Block X, Kuriwao Survey
District, in a southerly direction to the south-east corner of
the said section; thence towards the south generally by the
south-west boundary-lines of Sections 4, 3, and 2, Bloc' X,
Kuriwao Survey District, to Trig. B; thence by the western
boundary-line of Run 129 to the Catlins River; thence again
by that river and the boundary-line between Run 129 and Run
258, and by the south and south-west boundary of Run 258
to the Wyndham or Mokoreta River; thence by that river to
a point in line with the south-western boundary-line of Sec-
tion 5, Block VII, Slopedown Survey District; thence by a
right line to and by the last-mentioned boundary-line and its
production to the south-east boundary of Run 251 in the said
Block VII; thence again towards the west generally by the
last-mentioned run, by Section 2, Block VI, Slopedown Survey
District, and the production of its eastern boundary-line to
the centre of the road forming its northern boundary; thence
by a line along the centre of the last-mentioned road and the
road forming the eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 12, 13,
7, 6, 4, and 1, of Block II, Slopedown Survey District, across
the main South Road; thence by the centre of the road
forming the eastern boundaries of Sections 23 and 24,
Block XII, Waipahi Survey District, to a line bearing
N.E. 66Β° 47'; by that line for a distance of 50Β·2 links to the
angle on the eastern side of the last-mentioned road where
it strikes the western boundary-line of Section 28, Block V,
Waipahi Survey District; by that boundary-line and its
production to the centre of the Waipahi River; thence by
the centre of the Waipahi River to the road-line at the north-
west corner of Section 14, Block XVI, Waipahi Survey Dis-
trict, the point of commencement.

Clutha Riding.

All that area in the Clutha County, bounded on the north-
east generally by a line along the middle of the Pomahaka
River from a point commencing at the Pomahaka Bridge on
the Clydevale-Waiwera Road, on the eastern side of Sec-
tion 36, Block VI, Pomahaka Survey District; and also by a
line along the middle of the Clutha River to a point in line
with the south-eastern boundary-line of Section 9,
Block XXXV, Clutha Survey District; thence towards the
east generally by the Borough of Balclutha, by a line along
the middle of the Clutha River, by part of Section 11,
Block XXXIII, Clutha Survey District, and by the eastern
side of a road-line to the Southern Trunk Railway; thence
bounded towards the south and south-west generally by the
said railway to a block road-line, being the north-western
boundary-line of Section 12, Block XCVIII, Clutha Survey
District; thence bounded towards the north-west generally
by the centre of the said road-line to its junction with the
main South Road at the southern boundary of Section 56,
Block VII, Pomahaka Survey District; thence by the centre
of the said road (main South Road) in a westerly direction
to its junction with a road at the south-west corner of Sec-
tion 57, Block VII, Pomahaka Survey District; thence by
the centre-line of the said road-line, which forms the western
and northern boundaries of Section 57, and the western
boundaries of Sections 55, 54, 37, 34, 32, 14, and 10, Block VII,
Pomahaka Survey District, and Sections 31, 32, 33, 34, and
the eastern boundary of Section 36, Block VI, Pomahaka
Survey District, to the Pomahaka Bridge, the point of com-
mece ment.
