Districts constituted under the Marriage Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by the Marriage Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing marriage districts known as the Oamaru, Otepopo, and Duntroon Districts, and do proclaim and declare that the said districts are hereby reconstituted marriage districts with boundaries as follows —

OAMARU DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District bounded towards the north generally by the Waitaki River from the confluence of the Maerewhenua River and the said Waitaki River to the sea; thence towards the east generally by the sea to the mouth of the Kakanui River; thence towards the south by the Kakanui River to its confluence with Island Stream; thence by that stream and its northern branch to its source; thence by a right line to Siberia Hill; thence towards the west generally by a right line to the source of the south branch of the Kakanui River; thence by that branch and the said Kakanui River to a point due south of the confluence of the Maerewhenua and Waitaki Rivers; and thence by a right line to the said confluence, the place of commencement.

OTEPOPO DISTRICT.

All that area in the Otago Land District bounded towards the north generally by a right line from a point on the summit of the Kakanui Mountains due west of Siberia Hill to Siberia Hill; thence by a right line to the source of the northern branch of Island Stream; thence by the said Island Stream and the Kakanui River to the sea; towards the east by the sea to the mouth of the Waianakarua River; thence towards the south-east by the said Waianakarua River and its south branch to Section No. 10, Block XV, Moeraki Survey District; thence by the southern side of the road which forms the south-eastern boundary of Sections Nos. 10 and 8, Block XV aforesaid, to the road which forms the south-western boundary of the latter section; thence towards the south-west by the southern side of the last-mentioned road to Block III, Waihemo Survey District; thence by Blocks III and V, Waihemo Survey District, and the summit of the Horse Range and Kakanui Mountains to a point due west of Siberia Hill, the place of commencement.

DUNTROON DISTRICT.

All that area in the Otago Land District bounded towards the north-east by the Waitaki River from the confluence of the Otiake River and the said Waitaki River to the Maerewhenua River; thence towards the east by a right line running due south to the Kakanui River; towards the south-east generally by the Kakanui River and its southern branch to its source, near Siberia Hill, and by a right line to the said Siberia Hill; thence towards the south by a right line running due west to the summit of the Kakanui Mountains; and thence towards the west generally by the summit of the Kakanui Mountains and the summit of the range over Maerewhenua Pass and Grayson Peak to Mount Domett; thence by a right line to the source of the Otiake River, and by that river to the Waitaki River, the place of commencement.

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the first day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-third day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing registration districts known as the Oamaru, Otepopo, and Duntroon Districts, and do proclaim and declare that the said districts are hereby reconstituted registration districts with boundaries coterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names, as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the provisions of the Marriage Act, 1908.

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the first day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-third day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing registration district known as the Mangaroa District, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said district is hereby divided anew into two registration districts, the names whereof shall be the Matiere and Mangaroa Districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be coterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names, as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the provisions of the Marriage Act, 1908.

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the first day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.
