Prohibition of Money-order and Postal Correspondence for
J. Derby, Christchurch.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that
the person whose name and address are shown in the
Schedule hereunder is engaged in receiving money as the
consideration for an assurance or agreement implied to pay
money on events relating to horse-races, it is hereby ordered,
under section 28 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, that
no money-order in favour of the said person shall be issued,
and that no postal packet addressed to the said person shall
be either registered, forwarded, or delivered, by the Post
Office of New Zealand.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon
me by section 15 of the Land Act, 1908, I hereby
authorize the laying-off of Glenvar, Watea, Liverpool,
Wairiri, and Tainui Roads, and Law Street, in the Town of
Oneroa, Auckland Land District, of a width of not less than
66 ft. instead of 99 ft.

Notice fixing Closing hours of Chemists’ Shops in the Borough
of Napier under the Shops and Offices Act.

———

WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a
majority of the occupiers of all the chemists’ shops
in the Borough of Napier, has been forwarded to me,
desiring that all such shops in the borough shall be closed
in the evening of working-days as follows: Mondays, Tues-
days, Thursdays, and Fridays, 6 p.m.; Wednesdays, 1 p.m.;
Saturdays, 9.30 p.m.:

And whereas the Napier Borough Council has certified
that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority
of the occupiers of all the chemists’ shops within the
borough:

Now, therefore, I, Francis Henry Dillon Bell, acting for
and on behalf of the Minister of Labour, in pursuance of
section 25 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, do hereby
direct that from and after the 27th day of April, 1914, all
chemists’ shops in the Borough of Napier shall be closed in
accordance with such requisition.
