Altitude, 100 ft. to 150 ft. above sea-level. Undulating to level land, covered with fern and manuka. Soil of good quality, of a sandy nature, on pumice-cement formation; well watered by Nukuhou Stream. Distant about seven miles from Kutarere Post-office by main Nukuhou-Waimana Road, and a quarter of a mile unformed road.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fourteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

Opening Land in Auckland Land District for Sale or Selection.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Tuesday, the tenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen; and also that the land mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the price at which the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

Undulating to hilly land, with some broken country in Section 9; all covered with mixed forest comprising rata, taraire, tawa, kohekohe, scattered rimu and totara on Sections 10 and 12, and sufficient totara for fencing on Section 9, with dense undergrowth of nikau, kiekie, supplejack, punga, &c. Soil loam and clay of second-class quality, on sandstone formation; well watered by small streams. Distant thirty-eight to thirty-nine miles and a half from Whangarei, of which thirty-seven miles is formed dray-road, balance at present unformed; and eight to nine miles and a half from Pakotai Post-office. Section 12 fronts a formed dray-road.
