Lands temporarily reserved for the Preservation of Native
Fauna in the Marlborough Land District.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first
section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that
the Governor may from time to time, either by general or
particular description, and whether the same has been
surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwith-
standing that the same may be then held under pastoral
license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required
for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily
reserve from sale the lands in the Marlborough Land District
described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the pre-
servation of Native fauna.
SCHEDULE.
All those areas in the Marlborough Land District, being the
two islands known as Riley’s Lookout and Pinnacle Rock,
situated south of the Kahutara River and adjacent to Block VI,
Hundalee Survey District : as the same are delineated on the
plan marked L. and S. 755/1, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
coloured red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this fourteenth day of January, one thousand nine
hundred and fourteen.

Notifying Land in Auckland Land District for Sale by
Public Auction.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section
of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby appoint Friday, the twenty-seventh
day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen,
as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule
hereto shall be sold by public auction ; and I do hereby fix
the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those
mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

Sections 21 and 22 and part of Section 16 are rich swamp
in grass, balance undulating, with a certain amount of grass
on most of the sections; there are a few fruit trees on
Sections 59 and 60, and a spring on Section 32. Sections are
distant 20 to 60 chains from Tokatoka Wharf.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this fourteenth day of January, one thousand nine
hundred and fourteen.

12 chains from Russell Wharf by good road.

Bay of Islands County.—Suburbs of Kawakawa.

and broken manuka country. Soil inferior pipeclay, on clay
subsoil; no water on section. Situated half a mile from
Kawakawa Railway-station by formed and metalled road.

Altitude, 300 ft. to 600 ft. above sea-level. Broken country,
steep in parts; not ploughable; covered with fern, manuka,
and scrub. Soil brown loam of fair quality, on clay subsoil;
indifferently watered. Distant six miles from Warkworth by
good cart-road, partly metalled.
Waikato County.—Whangamarino Parish.

Altitude, 50 ft. to 300 ft. above sea-level. Undulating fern
land; nearly all ploughable. Soil of good quality, on clay
subsoil; well watered by swampy stream. Distant about
six miles from Te Kauwhata Railway-station by cart-road, of
which a considerable portion is metalled.

with fern and patches of manuka; rather swampy in winter,
but capable of being drained. Soil of good quality, on clay
subsoil; well watered by swampy stream. Distant about six

of which a considerable part is metalled.
