WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE AT AN ORDINARY MEETING OF THE WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL HELD ON THE 19TH DAY OF JANUARY, 1914.

IN pursuance of and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1910, and its amendments, and all other Acts in that behalf enabling it, the Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and sinking fund and other charges on the loan of £1,750, of which £583 6s. 8d. has been apportioned to Oteva Special-rating Area, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the following purpose—re-forming, culverting, and metalling the Oteva and portion of the Maungawhero Roads, within the Oteva and Maungawhero Special-rating Area—the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-eighths of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property within the Oteva Special-rating Area; and that such rate be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of October during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Description of Boundaries.

COMMENCING at the north-west corner of Section 15, Block IX, Mangaorongo, and following the western boundaries in a southerly direction of Sections Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 35b2, Rangitoto-Tuhua 35c, and Rangitoto-Tuhua 35d to the north-west corner of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 35e; thence along the northern boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua 35e and Rangitoto A No. 38, and a Crown section to the south-east corner of Rangitoto A No. 45b; thence along the eastern and northern boundaries of the said section to the south-west corner of Rangitoto N PN No. 60b; thence along the western boundary of the said section to the south-east corner of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 15; thence along the southern to the eastern boundary of Rangitoto A No. 42b to the north-west corner of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 15; thence in a straight line to the south-east corner of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 29c 2b, subdividing Rangitoto-Tuhua 33c; thence along the eastern boundaries of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 29c 2c, Rangitoto 29c 2e, to the Waipa River; thence along the Waipa River to the western boundary of Rangitoto A No. 33b2; thence along the western boundaries of Rangitoto A No. 33b2, Rangitoto A No. 33b1, Rangitoto A 33b3, to the northern boundary of Rangitoto A No 37b; thence along the north-west boundary of the said section to the north-east corner of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 34b; thence along the northern boundary of the said section and Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 35b2 to the starting-point.
