Agreement for Grant of Right-of-way in favour of Emma Louisa Morrison over a Scenic Reserve assented to.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the 18th day of December, 1912, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 19th day of the same month, all that piece of land containing 192 acres, being portion of Section 20 (originally part of 1b Rangitoto Native Reserve), Block XVII, D’Urville Survey District, was taken for the purposes of a scenic reserve:

And whereas Emma Louisa Morrison, wife of John Laird Morrison, of Wellington, Flax-merchant, was entitled to compensation in respect of her freehold interest in the said land:

And whereas the Minister of Public Works agreed to grant to the said Emma Louisa Morrison a right-of-way over a portion of the said land described in the Schedule hereto as part satisfaction of the compensation so payable as aforesaid, and to make a monetary payment in satisfaction of the residue of the said compensation:

And whereas the said Emma Louisa Morrison agreed to accept such grant and monetary payment in satisfaction of the said compensation: And whereas such monetary payment was duly made to the said Emma Louisa Morrison:

Now, therefore, I, William Fraser, the Minister of Public Works, give notice, in pursuance of section 84 of the Public Works Act, 1908, that I assent to the above agreement.

Approximate Area of the Piece of Land contained in the Right-of-way. Being Portion of Situated in Block Situated in Survey District of Shown on Plan Coloured on Plan
A. R. P. 2 1 23 1b D’Urville Is. (scenic reserve) XVII D’Urville P.W.D. 35277 Yellow.

In the Nelson Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District.

Prohibition of Money-order and Postal Correspondence for the House of Gowrie, 364 Wendell Street, Chicago, Ill., U.S.A.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the firm whose name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is engaged in an immoral business, it is hereby ordered, under section 28 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, that no money-order in favour of the said firm shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said firm (either by its own or any fictitious or assumed name), or to the manager, secretary, or other officer thereof, or addressed to the address in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the bank whose name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered, under section 28 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, that no money-order in favour of the said bank shall be issued,

and that no postal packet addressed to the said bank (either by its own or any fictitious or assumed name), or to the manager, secretary, or other officer thereof, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.
