Appointing Members of the First and Second Divisions of the Court of Appeal.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this third day of April, 1914.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section five of the Judicature Amendment Act, 1913, it is enacted that the Court of Appeal shall consist of two Divisions, to be called respectively the First Division and the Second Division of the Court of Appeal; and that each Division shall consist of five Judges of the Supreme Court, to be appointed to that Division by the Governor in Council:
And whereas the power conferred by the said Act upon the Governor in Council of appointing Judges as members of either Division, or of revoking any such appointment, shall be exercisable on the recommendation of not less than three Judges of the Supreme Court (of whom the Chief Justice shall be one), and not otherwise:
And whereas the Honourable the Chief Justice, the Honourable Mr. Justice Denniston, and the Honourable Mr. Justice Edwards have recommended that the two Divisions of the Court of Appeal shall be constituted as shown hereafter:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

Declaring Part of the Mason's-Raetahi Road, in the Wanganui County, to be a County Road.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Wanganui County, Mangawhero Road District, known as the Mason's-Raetahi Road, commencing at the junction with the Te Hue Road, and proceeding generally in a northerly direction intersecting Maraetaua lC, 1F, and 1B Blocks, Block XIV, Ngamatea Survey District; thence through Wharepu Block, Block XIV aforesaid, and terminating at the crossing of the Rangitatau Stream on the boundary between the Wanganui and Waimarino Counties, being a distance of 2 miles 10 chains or thereabouts: as the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 33688, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

License authorizing the Mataura Borough Council to extend Electric Lines within the Borough of Mataura.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this third day of April, 1914.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section two of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, it is provided that no person shall lay, construct, put up, place, or use any electric line except under the authority of a license issued to him by the Governor in Council under that Act:
And whereas the Mataura Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as "the said Council") desires to extend as hereinafter mentioned electric lines already erected in the said borough, in pursuance of a license published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-fifth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twelve (hereinafter referred to as "the said license"), and it is expedient accordingly to issue a license in respect thereof under the said section:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said section, and of all other powers enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth, subject to the conditions set forth in the Schedule to the said license, hereby authorize the Council to extend the electric lines already authorized in End and Side Streets along the remaining portion of Side Street, Back Street, portion of Albion Street, Scott Street, and Burns Street for lighting and power purposes; as the said extensions are more particularly indicated by means of green lines on the plan marked P.W.D. 35115, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District.

Quarry Street, in the Borough of St. Kilda, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to certain Conditions as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this third day of April, 1914.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply in any case where the local authority having control of a road or street by resolution declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor in Council:
And whereas by subsection two of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such conditions with respect to the building-line as the Governor in Council thinks fit to impose:
And whereas the St. Kilda Borough Council, the local authority having control of the street described in the Schedule hereto, did, by resolution, declare that the provisions of the said section one hundred and seventeen should not apply to the said street:
And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved, subject to the condition hereinafter mentioned:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the said resolution, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on either side of the said street within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said street.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that street in the Borough of St. Kilda, known as Quarry Street, commencing at its junction with Bowen Street, and proceeding thence in a north-westerly direction adjoining
