APPLICATIONS will be received up to noon on the 24th April, 1914, for the position of District Health Officer, Department of Public Health, Hospitals, and Charitable Aid at Dunedin.

Applications must be addressed to the Secretary to the Public Service Commissioner, Wellington, and must embrace a statement of education and experience, particulars of age, &c.

Applicants must be duly qualified medical practitioners and the holders of diplomas in public health or other equivalent qualifications in sanitary and bacteriological science.

Preference will be given to applicants under thirty-five years of age.
-
Duties will be defined later by the Chief Health Officer, Department of Public Health.

The position will be graded in Classes B and A, Professional Division. Minimum, £500 ; maximum, £700.
-
The successful applicant will not be permitted to engage in private practice, and the appointment will be subject to the provisions of the Public Service Act, 1912.
