MEDICAL REGISTRATION.
I, HENRY CROLY, Bach. Med. Univ. Dub. 1891, Bach. Surg. Univ. Dub. 1891, Lic. Mid. Rotunda Hosp. Dub. 1891, Doc. of Med. Univ. Dub. 1895, now residing in Palmers- ton North, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 6th April, 1914, next to have my name placed on the Medical Register for the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Registrar of Births and Deaths at Auckland.

THE CARRICK GOLD-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED).
To the Registrar of Companies, Wellington.
NOTICE is hereby given that at extraordinary general meetings of the above company duly convened and held respectively on the 12th day of February, 1914, and the 4th day of March, 1914, at Wanganui, the subjoined special resolutions were duly passed and confirmed:—
(1.) That it is desirable to reconstruct the company, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily; and that Mr. R. DUNKLEY, Accountant, of Wicksteed Place, Wanganui, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.
(2.) That the said Liquidator be and he is hereby authorized to consent to the registration of a new company, to be named “The Carrick Gold-mining Company (Limited),” with a memorandum of association which has already been prepared with the privity and approval of the directors of this company.
(3.) That the draft agreement submitted to this meeting and expressed to be made between this company and its Liquidator, of the one part, and the Carrick Gold-mining Company (Limited), of the other part, be and the same is hereby approved; and that the said Liquidator be and is hereby authorized, pursuant to section 259 of the Companies Act, 1908, to enter into an agreement with such new company (when incorporated) in the terms of the said draft, and to carry the same into effect with such (if any), modifications as they think expedient.

PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Piako County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of eight hundred pounds (£800), authorized to be raised by the Piako County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the completing of the construction and improvement, including the forming, grading, metalling, bridging, and culverting of roads in the Waitoa Riding of the County of Piako, the said Piako County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¾d. in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all the rateable property within the Waitoa Riding of the said County of Piako; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
