Apportionment of Representation and Election of Representatives on the Whangarei and Kaipara Hospital and Charitable Aid Boards.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this third day of March, 1914.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section sixteen of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Amendment Act, 1913, the Whangarei Hospital District and the Kaipara Hospital District were constituted:
And whereas by the said section sixteen it is further enacted that the Boards of the said hospital districts shall consist respectively of such number of representatives of the contributory districts within the said hospital districts as the Governor by Order in Council from time to time determines; and that the first election of members of the said Boards shall be held on such day as the Governor by Order in Council appoints, and that the Governor may make all such provisions as are deemed necessary for the purpose of that election:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, doth hereby determine that the number of representatives of each of the contributory districts within the aforesaid hospital districts shall be as set forth in the Schedule hereto; and the first election of such representatives shall be held on Friday, the third day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen; and that the principal contributory local authority of the combined district of Whangarei County, Hikurangi Town District, and Kamo Town District shall be the Whangarei County; and doth hereby direct that the regulations made in the Order in Council dated the twenty-fifth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and ten, shall as far as applicable apply as if incorporated in this Order in Council.

Consenting to a Mortgage of Native Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this third day of March, 1914.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section two hundred and thirty of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is provided that no instrument of alienation of Native land by way of mortgage or charge, other than a mortgage or charge in favour of a State Loan Department, shall be confirmed by a Board or the Court without the precedent consent of the Governor in Council:
And whereas application has been made for the consent of the Governor in Council to a mortgage of the block or parcel of land mentioned in the Schedule hereto: And whereas it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor in Council should issue:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the confirmation of an alienation by way of mortgage of the block or parcel of land set out in the Schedule hereto. And it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Native Land Act, 1909, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor in Council to the proceedings hereby authorized.
