Land taken for the Purposes of a Lighthouse in Block X, Castlepoint Survey District.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public workβto wit, for the purposes of a lighthouse in Block X, Castlepoint Survey District:
And whereas an agreement has been entered into, in terms of section twenty-seven of the said Act, to take such land for the public work hereinafter set forth:
And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister has recommended the Governor to issue a Proclamation taking the land as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, and being satisfied of the sufficiency of the agreement hereinbefore referred to, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a lighthouse; and I also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, for scenic purposes:
And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for scenic purposes as aforesaid;
and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

Reservation over Land in Wellington Land District revoked.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by notice published on page 1484 of the New Zealand Gazette of the tenth day of November, eighteen hundred and eighty-one, an area of four thousand three hundred and twenty-five acres, more or less, situated in Blocks III and V, Gorge Survey District, and Blocks I and II, Mangahao Survey District, Wellington Land District, was reserved for the growth and preservation of timber:
And whereas by section 34 of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1912, it is enacted that the Governor may, by Proclamation, revoke the reservation over so much of the said area as he thinks fit, provided that there shall remain an area of at least one thousand acres under reservation.
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said section 34, do hereby proclaim and declare that the said reservation over the land described in the schedule hereto, such land being part of the area described in the said section 34, is hereby revoked.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing 3,257 acres, more or less, being Sections Nos. 28, 30, 35, and 36, Block I, and Sections Nos. 18, 21, 22, and 25, Block II, Mangahao Survey District; bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 363, by the abutment of Forest Hill Road, by Section No. 367, Block V, Gorge Survey District, by Subdivisions Nos. 25, 24, 23, and 22 of Section No. 368, by the abutment of Gully Road, by Subdivisions Nos. 16, 15, 14, 13, and 1 of Section No. 373, and by Section No. 374, all of Blocks III and V, Gorge Survey District; towards the north-east generally by forest reserve; towards the south-east generally by Section No. 1, Block I, Mangahao Survey District and by the eastern side of North Range Road; and towards the south-west by the crossing of North Range Road and by Section No. 8, Block II, Mangahao Survey District:
Also all that area in the Wellington Land District, containing 2 roods 12 perches, more or less, being Section No. 31, Block I,
