Maramarua Subdivision.

The lands on the southern side of the Koheroa Road to Mercer railway crossing, thence following eastern side of main South Road to Whangamarino Bridge, thence following the Whangamarino Stream to junction of Maramarua Stream, thence along the south side of Section No. 1, then continues along north side of surveyed road to Waikato River Board’s boundary.

Whangamarino Subdivision.

From Whangamarino Bridge along the main South Road to junction of Te Kauwhata Station Road, following the northern side of this road to the railway-station, thence following the Wairangi main road on north side to Waikato River Board’s boundary; continuing this boundary to road boundary, Section 21; thence following this road through Section 22, junction of Whangamarino Stream, and follow the Whangamarino Stream to the bridge.

Tuakau Subdivision.

From Tuakau Bridge, including all lands on the north-western side of the main Tuakau–Onewhero Road.

Mercer Subdivision.

All lands on south-western side of the main Tuakau–Onewhero Road and Tuakau Bridge, southern boundary; all lands on both sides of Waikato River as far as the Koheroa Road, crossing the railway-line at Mercer, thence along the main South Road to the Whangamarino Bridge, crossing the river, and following the northern side of Sections 94, 150A, and 58B to western boundary of River Board District; excluding all lands already gazetted as Pokeno Subdivision.

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE AT AN ORDINARY MEETING HELD ON THE SEVENTEENTH DAY OF AUGUST, 1914.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and its amendments, and all other Acts in that behalf enabling it, the Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and sinking fund and other charges on the loan of £7,500, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the following purpose—reforming, culverting, and metalling the Kumara Road and portions of the Kiekie and Paraheke Roads within the Paraheke Special-rating Area—the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and five-eighths of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property within the Paraheke Special-rating Area; and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and payable yearly on the first day of October during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Description of Boundaries.

Commencing at the south-east corner of Section 8, Block V, Aria S.D.; thence along the southern boundary of the said section in a westerly direction following the county boundary to the Mokau River; thence along the Mokau River in a northerly direction to the north-west boundary of Section Mokau-Mohakatino No. 1E; thence along the northern and eastern boundaries of the said section to the Paraheka Stream; thence along the Paraheka Stream to the south-west corner of Section 11, Block I, Aria S.D.; thence along the western boundary of Sections 11 and 8 to the Kumara Road; thence along the Kumara Road to the junction of the Potaka Road; thence along the Potaka Road to the south-west corner of Section 22, Block IX, Totoro S.D.; thence along the western boundaries of the said Section 22, 21, the southern and western and northern boundaries of Section 17, the northern boundary of Section 18, to the south-west corner of Section 11, all of Block IX, Totoro S.D.; thence along the western boundary of the said Section 11 to the Aria Township; thence along the western and southern boundaries of the township to the north-west corner of Native Block Aorangi, Sections No. 1A and 2A; thence along the northern and eastern boundaries of the said sections and part of eastern boundary of Aorangi part No. 1A No. 2B, and along the northern and eastern boundary of Crown land 1A No. 1 to the north-east corner of Section 1, Block II, Aria S.D.; thence along the eastern boundary of the said Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 of Block II, Aria S.D., Sections 2 and 6 and 5 of Block VI, Aria S.D., to the Waitehenua Road; thence along the said road in southerly direction to the starting-point.

NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of section 230 of the Companies Act, 1908, a general meeting of the Milford Sound Tangiwai Company (Limited), (In Liquidation), will be held at 106 Victoria Arcade, Queen Street, Auckland, on the 8th January at 4 p.m., for the purpose of having laid before the meeting the account of the Liquidator showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing an explanation thereof given by the Liquidator. The company will be asked to declare by extraordinary resolution how the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidator are to be disposed of.
