UPPER MANGAPIKO DRAINAGE BOARD.

SPECIAL ORDER.—DRAINAGE CONSTRUCTION LOAN, £2,000.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Upper Mangapiko Drainage Board held on the sixth day of October, 1914, a resolution was passed in accordance with the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, section 16 (e):—

That, for the purpose of the construction of drainage-works, the Upper Mangapiko District Drainage Board hereby authorizes the raising of a loan of £2,000 at 4½ per cent. for a period of 36½ years, and declares that the cost of raising the said loan and the first year’s interest on the said loan shall be payable out of the moneys so raised.

A copy of the proposed special order is deposited at the office of the Board, and is open to the public for inspection during office hours.

And public notice is hereby also given that the said resolution will be submitted to an ordinary meeting of the said Board to be held at Mr. H. C. Bertelsen’s residence at Roto-o-rangi on Tuesday, the tenth day of November, 1914, at 2 p.m. for confirmation as a special order.

MATAMATA COUNTY COUNCIL.

EXTRACT FROM THE MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS AT A MEETING OF SUCH COUNCIL HELD ON THE 25TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1914, AT 11 A.M.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Matamata County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of one thousand two hundred pounds (£1,200), (being 10 per cent. additional on a loan of twelve thousand pounds authorized to be raised by a poll of ratepayers taken on the 19th day of October, 1912, the said loan of £12,000 having proved insufficient), for the purpose of completing the work of improving the grades and metalling certain portions of the following roads:—

Main road, from the Gordon-Waharoa Junction to the Patetere boundary;
Gordon-Waharoa Road;
Matamata to the Junction Hot Springs Road, towards Turanga-o-moana Creamery;
Arawa Street, Matamata Creamery to the railway crossing southern end of township;
Mr. J. Pohlen’s corner to the Mangawhero Creamery;
Peria Road;
Station Road;

the said County Council makes and levies a special rate of 2/35ths of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in that Matamata Riding of the said county. And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Matamata County Council was hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Matamata County Council, in the presence of—

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership lately subsisting between us, the undersigned, JAMES HAMILTON and WILLIAM RUTHERFORD McHUGH, carrying on business as Butchers at No. 89 Albany Street, No. 62 Frederick Street, and No. 27 Maclaggan Street, Dunedin, under the style of “Hamilton & McHugh,” has this day been dissolved by mutual consent. The said JAMES HAMILTON will continue the said business at No. 89 Albany Street and No. 27 Maclaggan Street on his own account, and the said WILLIAM RUTHERFORD McHUGH will continue the business at No. 62 Frederick Street on his own account. All debts due to or owing by the said late firm will be received and paid by either the said James Hamilton or William Rutherford McHugh at the above addresses.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of the Terawhiti Dykes (Limited), in Voluntary Liquidation.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the Terawhiti Dykes (Limited) held on the 3rd day of December, 1914, the following extraordinary resolution was passed:—

“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908.”

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore existing between THOMAS FREDERICK BUCKLEY and ALFRED ERNEST BUCKLEY, of Auckland, as Bricklaying Contractors, is hereby mutually dissolved as from the first day of June, 1914. The said THOMAS FREDERICK BUCKLEY will take over the Tile Department of the Partnership business, and will receive all debts payable to and discharge all accounts owing by that department; and the said ALFRED ERNEST BUCKLEY will take over the Bricklaying Department, and will receive all debts payable to and discharge all accounts owing by the latter department.
