Closing Wanganui Cemetery, Borough of Wanganui.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this sixteenth day of November, 1914.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS it appears to the Governor that burials in the Wanganui Cemetery, in the Borough of Wanganui, which said cemetery is described in the Schedule hereto, should be wholly discontinued: And whereas a sufficient cemetery not within the limits of any borough or town district has been provided, and has been prepared for the interment of the dead, as required by the Cemeteries Act, 1908:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Dominion of New Zealand, and in pursuance of the authorities vested in him by the said Cemeteries Act, 1908, doth hereby order and direct that, from and after the first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, burials within the Wanganui Cemetery, in the Borough of Wanganui, described in the aforesaid Schedule, shall be wholly discontinued; and, further, that the said cemetery shall, from and after the said first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, be vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Wanganui, under the provisions and for the purposes of the seventy-eighth section of the said Cemeteries Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
WANGANUI CEMETERY.
ALL that area in the Borough of Wanganui, containing by admeasurement 6 acres 2 roods 4 perches, more or less, being the public cemetery. Bounded towards the north generally by a municipal reserve, 529·4 links, 526·5 links, and 392·1 links; towards the east generally by Reserve L, 20·7 links and 437·1 links; towards the south generally by Heads Road, 261·8 links and 915·5 links; and towards the west by Cemetery Road, 613·9 links and 4·18 links: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L.S. 29328, deposited at the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Elm and Oak Roads, in the Borough of Hastings, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to certain Conditions as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this sixteenth day of November, 1914.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply in any case where the local authority having control of a road or street by resolution declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or to any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor in Council:
And whereas by subsection two of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such conditions with respect to the building-line as the Governor in Council thinks fit to impose:
And whereas the Hastings Borough Council, the local authority having control of the streets described in the Schedule hereto, did by resolution declare that the provisions of the said section one hundred and seventeen should not apply to the said streets:
And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved, subject to the condition hereinafter mentioned:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the said resolution, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on either side of the said streets within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said streets.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that street in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Borough of Hastings, known as Elm Road, commencing at its junction with Riverslea Road and terminating at its junction with Willow Park Road, being a distance of 15 chains, more or less.
Also all that street in the said land district and borough known as Oak Road, commencing at its junction with Willow Park Road, and terminating at its junction with Riverslea Road, being a distance of 15 chains, more or less.
As the said streets are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 29467, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

Prohibiting all Private Alienation of certain Native Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this sixteenth day of November, 1914.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order in Council, all alienations of the Native lands specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienations in favour of the Crown.

Te Rapa Block: Approximate area, 430 acres; Karioi Survey District.

Regulations under the Footwear Regulation Act, 1913.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this sixteenth day of November, 1914.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Footwear Regulation Act, 1913 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulations for the purposes of the said Act; and doth hereby declare that the said regulations shall come into force on the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.
REGULATIONS.
- WHERE a statement of the material or materials composing the soles of any boots or shoes is required, pursuant to section 4 of the said Act, to be stamped on or impressed into the outer surface of the soles of those boots or shoes, the following provisions shall apply:—
(a.) The said statement shall be stamped in indelible ink on the soles of such boots or shoes, and shall be in bold type of such size and distinctness that the statement may be read with ease by any person of normal sight at a distance of at least 5 ft.; or
(b.) The said statement shall be impressed into the soles by means of sunk or branded lettering of such size and distinctness that the statement may be read with ease by any person of normal sight at a distance of at least 5 ft., or shall be embossed on the soles in lettering of like size and distinctness.
