to be a member of the Board of Trustees for Public Recreation.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this fifteenth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

Land taken for Scenic Purposes in Block I, Mahoe Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, for scenic purposes in Block I, Mahoe Survey District:

And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for scenic purposes; and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fifth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 524 acres, being Section 19.

Situated in Block I, Mahoe Survey District.

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 36654, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon edged pink.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this thirteenth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

Authorizing the Sale of Land in the Borough of Mornington under the Public Works Act, 1908.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this sixteenth day of November, 1914.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section thirty of the Public Works Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other Act, or Provincial Ordinance, or otherwise howsoever for any public work is not required for such public work, the Governor may, by Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions set forth in the said Act:

And whereas a memorial has been laid before the Governor by the Mornington Borough Council (hereinafter called “the said Council”), accompanied by a map, setting forth that certain land was acquired for tramway purposes:

And whereas the said land, as described in the Schedule hereto, is not now required by the said Council for the purposes aforesaid, and the said Council desires to sell the same:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the land described in the Schedule hereto to be dealt with and sold in the manner prescribed by and subject to the conditions of the thirtieth and following sections of the said Act.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land authorized to be sold 19·84 perches.

Portion of Allotments 9 and 10, Block VI, Township of Mornington, Borough of Mornington.

In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 36669, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured green.

Authorizing the Sale of Land in Block XII, Christchurch Survey District, under the Public Works Act.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this sixteenth day of November, 1914.

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the land described in the Schedule hereto to be dealt with and sold in the manner prescribed by and subject to the conditions of the thirtieth and following sections of the said Act.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land authorized to be sold: 5 acres 2 roods 36 perches.

Portion of Rural Sections 1692, 1711, and 6897 (Canterbury R.D.).

Situated in Block XII, Christchurch Survey District.

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 36682, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.
