RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Lower Hutt Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £2,700, authorized to be raised by the
Lower Hutt Borough Council, under the above-mentioned
Act for the purchase, for recreation purposes, of all that
piece of land containing 5 acres and 10 perches and six-tenths
of a perch (5 ac. 10·6 per.), being part of Section 21, Hutt
District, being the balance of the land comprised in certificate
of title, Volume 115, folio 300, the said Lower Hutt Borough
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighteenth
of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (unimproved) of
all rateable property of and in the Borough of Lower Hutt,
comprising the whole of the Borough of Lower Hutt; and
that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the
1st day of April in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Lower
Hutt Borough Council held on Tuesday, the 27th October,
1914.

GISBORNE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and
any other Act enabling it in that behalf, the Gisborne Borough
Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund,
and other charges on a loan of £1,500, authorized to be raised
by the said Gisborne Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the balance of the Council’s contribution
for new hospital, the said Gisborne Borough Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of 1/54th of a penny in the
