shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Wednesday, the sixteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, at the rental mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Act.

First-class Land.
SECTIONS 35, 36, and 38, Block II: Area, 40 acres 3 roods 9 perches; capital value, £55; half-yearly rent, £1 2s.
Weighted with £16, valuation for improvements consisting of hut and clearing.
Sections are covered with heavy mixed bush of no commercial value. Clay soil, of medium quality; undulating and rather broken in places; well watered. About 10 acres have been felled and sown down with grass, but are now grown up with scrub. Distant about half a mile from Waikawa by formed road.

Regulation as to Settlement of Land in Kauri-gum Districts.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
WHEREAS provision is made by section twenty of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1912, for the disposal of lands within kauri-gum districts, in allotments not exceeding twenty-five acres each, by way of license to occupy with right of purchase in pursuance of Part III of the Land Act, 1908, or by way of license to occupy with an agreement to purchase on deferred payment in pursuance of regulations under the said section:
And whereas by subsection seven of the said section it is provided that the Governor may from time to time make regulations fixing the terms and conditions on which such allotments may be applied for, disposed of, and occupied, subject to the provisions of that section:
And whereas regulations were made on the twelfth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, in accordance with the aforesaid subsection seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twentieth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to make an additional regulation:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me as aforesaid, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby make the following additional regulation for the purposes of the said section twenty, and do hereby direct that it shall form part of and be read with the said regulations made on the twelfth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.
REGULATION.
In cases where any person was, prior to the thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, in occupation of any land set apart under section 20 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1912, and is still in occupation thereof, or in any case where special circumstances exist, the Land Board, with the approval of the Minister of Lands, may, if it thinks fit, grant a license under the regulations, without competition, to any such occupier or person.

IN pursuance of the authority conferred upon me by an Order in Council made on the third day of August, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, in pursuance of section two of the Post and Telegraph Amendment Act, 1910, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
HENRY WILLIAM HARRINGTON, Esquire,
of Wellington, as Deputy Chief Censor for the Dominion of New Zealand, and authorize him to act during my pleasure as a Censor of telegraphic messages in respect of telegraph stations in the Dominion.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this third day of November, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons set out in the Schedule hereto, being persons holding the office of Postmaster under the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, at the places set opposite their names in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the two hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.
