Zealand, do hereby appoint Thursday, the twenty-first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SOUTHLAND COUNTY.—WAIKAKA SURVEY DISTRICT.—BLOCK IX.

Rural Land.

SECTION 19: Area, 161 acres 0 roods 30 perches; upset price, £242; valuation for fencing, £31 2s. 6d.

Section 23: Area, 53 acres 0 roods 38 perches; upset price, £54; valuation for fencing, £9 5s.

Section 36: Area, 8 acres 1 rood 29 perches; upset price, £5; valuation for fencing, £3 10s.

Section 37: Area, 11 acres 0 roods 16 perches; upset price, £10; valuation for fencing, £3 17s. 6d.

The sections are situated from five to six miles from Pukerau Railway-station. Chiefly peat bog and swampy. Access to Section 19 and Section 36 by metalled road, to Sections 23 and 37 metalled road within 30 chains and 10 chains respectively.

Notifying Lands in Southland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Thursday, the twenty-first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Wallace County.—Town of Waimatuku.—Suburban Land.

SECTIONS 1 to 22, Block XII: Area, 5 acres 2 roods; upset price, £55.

Sections 25 and 26, Block XIII: Area, 2 roods; upset price, £5.

Sections 1 to 10, 13 to 28, Block XIV: Area, 6 acres 2 roods; upset price, £65.

Sections 2 to 7, 9 to 24, Block XV: Area, 5 acres 2 roods; upset price, £55.

Soil good, on porous subsoil; water is obtainable anywhere by sinking 10 ft. Main road frontage to each lot. School, post-office, and railway-station adjoining, and dairy factory one mile distant.

Wallace County.—Wairio Survey District.—Rural Land.

Section 237, Block XIV: Area, 3 acres 1 rood 29 perches; upset price, £18.

Open land, near Woodlaw Railway-station, with access by gravelled road.

Opening Lands in Southland Land District for Sale or Selection.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Wednesday, the sixteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Southland County.—Invercargill Hundred.—First-class Land.

SECTION 23, Block XXIV: Area, 77 acres 2 roods 11 perches. Cash purchase: Total price, £160. Occupation with right of purchase: Half-yearly rent, £4. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £3 4s.

Weighted with £16 10s., valuation for improvements consisting of fencing and clearing.

Level bush-clad section, from which the milling-timber has been removed. Soil of a good medium quality, well watered. About 2 acres felled, and fencing lines partly cleared. Situated four miles and a half from Longbush Railway-station, three miles and a half from Rimu School, and two miles from Toa Post-office, store, and dairy factory.

Southland County.—Forest Hill Hundred.—Second-class Land.

Section 340, Block IV: Area, 104 acres 1 rood 8 perches. Cash purchase: Total price, £60. Occupation with right of purchase: Half-yearly rent, £1 10s. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £1 4s.

Undulating land, higher tops bushclad, lower level covered with manuka scrub; fair soil, well watered by running stream. Situated about two miles and a half from Hedgehope Railway-station, post-office, and school by good gravelled road to within half a mile of the section.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-ninth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

Opening Land in Southland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Wednesday, the sixteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, at the rental mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject to section one hundred and thirty-five of the said Act, as it contains, or is supposed to contain, metal, mineral, or valuable stone.

First-class Land.

SECTION 198, Block IV: Area, 4 acres 3 roods; capital value, £25; half-yearly rent, 10s.

Open land, somewhat broken by a gully running through it.
