on drainage-works during the then current year; (2) construction of tar macadam surfaces on portions of the roadway of Victoria Avenue, and ordinary macadam surfaces on other portions of Victoria Avenue, Taupo Quay, and Ridgway Street, and contingencies; (3) completion of kerbing of footways and formation of same in Glasgow Street, London Street, Wicksteed Street, Campbell Street, Bell Street, Harrison Street, Keith Street, Niblett Street, Ball Street, Alexander Street, Halswell Street, Gloucester Street, Argyle Street, Louther Street, Barrack Street, and along Heads Road, in all about 600 chains, and refund to the General Account of moneys expended on such works during the then current year:
the said Wanganui Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one shilling in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Wanganui, comprising the whole of the Borough of Wanganui, the boundaries whereof are defined in the New Zealand Gazette of the 19th day of December, 1912, number 92, at page 3618. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of May and the first day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years from the first day of November, 1914, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Wanganui was hereto affixed to the above-written resolution, by order of the Council of the said borough, this 20th day of October, 1914, by and in the presence of—

NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of shareholders in this company will be held at the offices of McLeod and Gardner (Limited), Timber Merchants, Market Street, Hastings, on Thursday, the twenty-ninth day of October, 1914, at 2.30 p.m., for the purpose of receiving the Liquidators’ accounts showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted, and of passing a resolution as to the disposal of the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidators thereof.
