in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke so much of the said Proclamation as affects the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land not required for railway :—
5 acres 3 roods 38 perches, portion of Parahirahi A No. 3 (17956, blue). Situated in Block IV. Coloured yellow on plan.
1 acre 2 roods 7 perches and 1 acre 2 roods 14 perches, portions of Kohewhata Block (17955, blue). Situated in Block III. Coloured blue on plan.

All in the Punakitere Survey District, Auckland Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 36533, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies ; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this nineteenth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

Authorizing the Exchange of a Reserve in Block XVI, Town of Riverton, Southland Land District, for other Land.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this nineteenth day of October, 1914.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the First Schedule hereto is vested in the Western District Farmers’ Association (Incorporated), in trust, for purposes of exhibition of cattle and agricultural and other produce : And whereas the said association desires that the said land should be exchanged for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, which the Governor deems of equal value and more suitable for the purposes of the reserve :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section twelve of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto may be exchanged for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF RESERVE AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing 3 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Block XVI, Town of Riverton, and bounded on the north-east by Albany Street, 750 links ; on south-east by Pitt Street, 500 links ; on the south-west by Priory Place, 750 links ; and on the north-west by High Street, 500 links : all in the Town of Riverton : be the aforementioned distances a little more or less : as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 57834/11, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing 5 acres 3 roods 24 perches, more or less, being part of Section 3, Block VI, Jacob’s River Hundred, and bounded commencing at the north-eastern angle of the said Section 3, Block VI ;

thence south-westerly along its south-eastern boundary for a distance of 881 links ; thence at a bearing of 342° 30′ for a distance of 1604 links to the north-eastern boundary of Section 3 aforesaid ; thence south-easterly along the said north-eastern boundary for a distance of 1340 links to the commencing-point : be all the aforesaid distances a little more or less : as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 57834/11, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered yellow.

Authorizing Special Investment of £9,000 of the Public Trust Office Funds.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-first day of September, 1914.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the New Plymouth High School Board (incorporated under the New Plymouth High School Act, 1889) has applied to the Public Trustee for a loan of nine thousand pounds for the purpose of repaying an existing loan of three thousand pounds and erecting school buildings : And whereas the said Board, pursuant to the power vested in it in that behalf by section seventeen of the Education Reserves Act, 1908, and with the sanction of the Governor as required by that section, proposes to offer as security for the said loan a mortgage of the rents and profits of certain lands specified in the said application and vested in the said Board by virtue of the provisions of section nine of the said last-mentioned Act : And whereas such security is not one authorized by the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 : And whereas by section ninety-one of the Public Revenues Act, 1910, it is provided that it shall be lawful to invest any part of the balance in the Public Trust Office Account in any securities which shall be declared by the Governor by Order in Council to be securities in which such balance may be invested :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor in and for the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby declare that it shall be lawful for the Public Trustee to invest out of the balance in the Public Trust Office Account a sum of nine thousand pounds upon such security as aforesaid, and the said mortgage is hereby sanctioned accordingly.

Consenting to stopping a Road in Block XVI, Waitemata Survey District, Point Chevalier Road District, Eden County.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this nineteenth day of October, 1914.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three (a) of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county road or district road to be stopped until the consent thereto of the Governor, by Order in Council gazetted, is obtained :
And whereas the Point Chevalier Road Board has applied for such consent in respect of the road described in the Schedule hereto :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Point Chevalier Road Board stopping the road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of road permitted to be stopped : 11·38 perches and 1 rood 15·75 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Sections 18A and 107, Titirangi Parish (17569, blue).
Situated in Block XVI, Waitemata Survey District.
