In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 36441, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this nineteenth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

Land taken for the Purposes of a Rifle Range in Blocks IX and X, Hawera Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for the purposes of a rifle range in Blocks IX and X, Hawera Survey District:
And whereas by section two hundred and twenty-five of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is provided that land required for rifle ranges may be taken as for a public work and in the manner prescribed in that Part for taking land for defence purposes:
And whereas by section eighty-eight of the Defence Act, 1909, it is enacted that the Governor may take land for rifle ranges:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Defence Act, 1909, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a rifle range, and shall vest in His Majesty the King on and after the seventh day of November, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

Portion of Subdivision 13 of Sections 253, 254, 255, 548, 654 (Patea District), and part of Sections 253, 255, 548, and part of lake adjoining (Patea District).
Situated in Blocks IX and X, Hawera Survey District (Taranaki R.D.).
In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 35239, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon edged green.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Kawakawa-Hokianga Railway, and for road approaches thereto, to take further land in Kawakawa Survey District, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway and road-approaches:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

Revoking Part of a Proclamation taking Land for a Portion of the Kawakawa-Hokianga Railway, for Road-diversions in connection therewith, and for Road Approaches thereto.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, it is enacted that if at any time after the issue or making of any Proclamation taking land under the Public Works Act, 1908, and before the payment or award of any compensation in respect of the taking thereof, it is found that the land or any part thereof is not required for the purpose for which it was taken, or that any error in form or substance exists in or in relation to that Proclamation, or the making or gazetting thereof, the Governor may, by a subsequent Proclamation gazetted, revoke the former Proclamation either wholly or so far as he thinks necessary:
And whereas it is found that portions of the land taken by a Proclamation made under the Public Works Act, 1908, dated the fourth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen (hereinafter termed “the said Proclamation”), and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 31, pages 1258 and 1259, of the tenth day of the same month, are not now required for the purpose for which they were taken:
And whereas compensation in respect of the taking of the said land has not been paid or awarded:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
