Amending the Regulations under the State Forests Act, 1908.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of September, 1914.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority conferred by the State Forests Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke regulations eighty-seven and eighty-eight of the regulations made under the said Act on the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and nine, and in lieu thereof doth hereby make the regulations set forth in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that such revocation and the regulations hereby made shall take effect on the date of the publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

SCHEDULE.

REMOVAL OF TIMBER.

  1. THE period during which timber disposed of under Regulation 71, et seq., shall be removed shall be as follows:—
    Not exceeding 1,000,000 sup. ft., within one year.
    " 3,000,000 " " two years.
    " 6,000,000 " " three years.
    " 10,000,000 " " four years.

EXTENSION OF TIME FOR REMOVAL OF TIMBER.

  1. Timber not removed within the time provided for its removal shall revert to the Crown, but the Commissioner may, if he thinks fit, from time to time, grant extensions of time for periods not exceeding three years at any one time on payment of not less than five per centum per annum on the prairie or net value of the area comprised in the license, subject to such conditions as the Commissioner may impose.

Amending Regulations for Trout-fishing in the Auckland Acclimatization District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of September, 1914.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Orders in Council, dated the twenty-second day of October, one thousand nine hundred and seven, and the seventh day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 64, of the twenty-fifth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and seven, and No. 77, of the tenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, respectively, regulations were made for trout-fishing in the Auckland Acclimatization District:

And whereas it is desirable to amend the said regulations in the manner hereinafter described:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Fisheries Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the regulation made by the said Order in Council, dated the seventh day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, by omitting therefrom the word “worms.”

Consenting to stopping a Road in Block XVI, Hukerenui Survey District, Whangarei County.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of September, 1914.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three (a) of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county road or district road to be stopped until the consent thereto of the Governor by Order in Council gazetted is obtained:

And whereas the Whangarei County Council has applied for such consent in respect of the road described in the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Whangarei County Council stopping the road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of road permitted to be stopped:—

3 acres 1 rood 28·6 perches, adjoining or passing through Sections S.E. 34, 35, S.E. 37, N.W. 38, N.W. 37.

1 acre 0 roods 6·1 perches, adjoining or passing through Sections S.E. 38, 35, N.W. 36, N.E. 36.

Situated in Block XVI, Hukerenui Survey District, Hikurangi Parish (17747, blue).

All in the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 36375, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured green.
