Block VII, Waitahuna West District. The terminal portions of the said prohibited road are at present indicated by pegs in the road, and will be further indicated by a sign bearing the words “Prohibited to motors by the Tuapeka County Council.”

This by-law was duly made by the Council of the Tuapeka County by special order duly passed and adopted at a special meeting of the Council duly convened and held at the Council Chambers on Wednesday, the 26th day of November, 1913, and confirmed at a meeting of the Council duly convened and held at the Council Chambers on Friday, the 16th day of January, 1914.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Tuapeka was hereunto affixed this 16th day of January, 1914, in the presence of—

NOTICE is hereby given that THE RANGITIKEI SAWMILLERS’ CO-OPERATIVE ASSOCIATION (LIMITED), on the second day of January, 1914, duly passed the following special resolution, which special resolution was duly confirmed on the 19th day of January, 1914 :—

SPECIAL RESOLUTION.

THAT the Rangitikei Sawmillers’ Co-operative Association (Limited) be and the same is hereby required to be wound up voluntarily, and that MAXWELL MORROW CARPENTER be and the same is hereby appointed Liquidator of the said Association.

KAITIEKE COUNTY COUNCIL.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Kaitieke County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorized to be raised by the Kaitieke County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, for forming, widening, culverting, and metalling a portion of the Waimarino–Retaruke Road, the said Kaitieke County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-halfpenny. in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Waimarino–Retaruke Special-rating Area, comprising Sections 2, 1, and 5 of Block XVI, Kaitieke Survey District; Sections 2, 5, 7, 6, and 3 of Block XV, Kaitieke Survey District; Lot part 8 of Section 2, Sections 1, 4, and Lot part 9 of Section 2, Block III, Manganui Survey District; Waimarino 4E, Section 2, Block IV, Manganui Survey District; Section 4 and part Section 5 of Block XIV, Kaitieke Survey District; Waimarino 4B, Section 1, Block IV, Manganui Survey District; Section 1, Block II, and Section 27, Blocks II, III, VI, and VII, Manganui Survey District: and declares that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 20th day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly made and passed at a meeting of the Kaitieke County Council held on Wednesday, the 26th day of November, 1913.

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also other charges on a loan of £1,500, authorized to be raised by the Kaitieke County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, for forming, widening, and culverting a portion of the Mangaohutu Road, the said Kaitieke County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two pence farthing (2¼d.) in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Mangaohutu Special-rating Area, comprising Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, Block VII, and Section 1, Block VIII, Retaruke Survey District; and declares that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 20th day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

AWAKINO COUNTY COUNCIL.

Copy of a Resolution passed at an Ordinary Meeting of the Awakino County Council held at Waitanguru on Saturday, 10th January, 1904, with reference to the Special Loan of £790 which is being raised to form, culvert, widen, and metal that Part of the Mahoenui–Marakopa Road situated in the Waitanguru Special-rating Area.

COUNCILLOR Boddy moved, and Councillor Old seconded, That, in pursuance and exercise of powers vested in it in that behalf by section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1910, the Awakino County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the charges on a loan of £790, authorized to be raised by the Awakino County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, for forming, culverting, widening, and metalling the Mahoenui–Marakopa Road, the said Awakino County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 4¾d. in the pound on the unimproved value of all rateable property within the Waitanguru Special-rating Area, such special-rating area being as follows—Sections 2, 1, 15, 5, 16, of Block VI, Maungamangero Survey District, and Section 3, Block II, Maungamangero Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each year during currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

We, the undersigned Councillors, hereby certify that the resolution as set out above was moved by us and duly carried at an ordinary meeting of the Awakino County Council held at Waitanguru on Saturday, 10th January, 1914.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—LOAN ON £1,600, PUKE, OMATANE, AND MAKOPUA ROADS.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans’ Act, 1908, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,600, authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of trimming and metalling on Puke, Omatane, and Makopua Roads from the end of the present metalling near Mr. Smith’s residence on Puke Road to the western boundary of Section 4, Block V, Ruahine Survey District, on the Makopua Road, and the cost of raising the loan to be paid out of the loan, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and one-seventh (1 1/7d.) in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Makopua Special-rating District, comprising Sections 17B, part 18 (6¼ acres), 18A, 19, 19A, 20, 24, and 25, Block IV, Hautapu Survey District; Sections 3, part 6 (460 acres), 7, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 19, Block VIII, Hautapu Survey District; and Sections 5, Block I, and 4 and 6, Block V, Ruahine Survey District: as the said special-rating district is more particularly shown upon the plan attached to the ratepayers’
