SUBSECTION (2) OF SECTION 5 OF THE IMMIGRATION RESTRICTION AMENDMENT ACT, 1910.
“ With respect to every person who lands in New Zealand under any such regulations, the provisions of the principal Act shall not apply so long as he faithfully observes the conditions prescribed by those regulations or such of them as are applicable to him; but if he does not so observe the prescribed conditions, he shall be deemed to have unlawfully landed in New Zealand.”

Vesting Cemetery Reserves in the Grey County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of January, 1914.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto have been permanently reserved for public cemeteries: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserves in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Grey County:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the fourth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserves described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Grey County, in trust, for public cemeteries.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 23 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 1484, Block XV, Arnold Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by a road reserve, 324 links; towards the south-east by Crown land, 473·7 links; towards the south-west by Crown land, 613·7 links; and towards the north-west by Crown Land, 185·7 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1913/1221A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Also all that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Reserve No. 1483, Block II, Hohonu Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Crown lands, 400 links; towards the south-east by Crown lands, 250 links; towards the south-west by road reserve, 400 links; and towards the north-west by Crown land, 250 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1913/1221B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of January, 1914.

WHEREAS by section nine of the Mining Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time by Order in Council appoint fit persons to be Wardens, who shall hold office during the Governor’s pleasure:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by the said section nine of the Mining Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
Ernest William Burton, Esq.,
to be a Warden, to hold and exercise the duties of such office under and subject to the provisions of the said Act during pleasure, on and from the first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

Withdrawing Land from the Operation of the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of January, 1914.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by section forty-six of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913, it is enacted that the Governor, by Order in Council gazetted, may, on the recommendation of the Land Board, declare that any land comprised in a kauri-gum reserve shall, from a date to be specified in the Order, cease to be subject to the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908, and on and after the date so specified the land to which the Order relates shall become subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908:
And whereas the Land Board of the Auckland Land District has duly passed a resolution recommending that the portion of Tongonge Kauri-gum Reserve described in the Schedule hereto be excepted from the operations of the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section forty-six of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the portion of Tongonge Kauri-gum Reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall from the fifth day of February, 1914, cease to be subject to the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District situated in Block V, Takahue Survey District, Mangonui County, containing by admeasurement 17 acres 2 roods 20 perches, more or less, being part of Tongonge Kauri-gum Reserve, set apart by Order in Council dated 20th December, 1898, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 93, of 21st December, 1898. Bounded towards the north-east by Old Land Claim No. 7, grant to J. Matthews, 1721·6 links, the crossing of a public road 100 links wide, and again by the aforesaid grant, 308·8 links; towards the south-east by a public road 100 links wide, 478·5 links, the crossing of a public road, and again by the aforesaid road, 345·5 links; towards the south-west and north-west by other part of Tongonge Kauri-gum Reserve, 1802·9 and 930·8 links respectively: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: save and excepting a public road 100 links wide intersecting the above-described area: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1910/409, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
