THE partnership hitherto existing between ERNEST HENRY GEORGE BURROWS and FREDERICK CHARLES COLE, both of Omihi, as Chaff-cutters and Contractors, has this day been dissolved.
The business will henceforth be carried on by the said Frederick Charles Cole, who will receive and pay all accounts due to and by the late firm.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership existing between ARTHUR MAKGILL and JOHN A. ALBRECHT, of Onehunga, as Engineers, under the style of Makgill and Albrecht, is dissolved by mutual consent as from the 14th day of December, inst. All accounts owing to the firm are to be paid to the said Arthur Makgill, who will pay all the liabilities of the firm.

THE WELLINGTON FRESH FOOD AND ICE COMPANY (LIMITED).
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company, held at the offices of the Phoenix Insurance Company on the 22nd day of December, 1913, the following extraordinary resolution was passed, viz. :—
“ That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908.

WAIROA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
EXTRACT FROM MINUTES OF COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON 5TH JANUARY, 1914.—RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, and all other Acts in that behalf enabling it, the Wairoa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and sinking fund and other charges on the loan of one thousand five hundred pounds (£1,500) authorized to be raised by the said Council under the above-mentioned Act for the following purpose—for building, furnishing, and equipping Borough Council Chambers in the Borough of Wairoa—the said Wairoa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-sixteenths of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) on all rateable property in the Borough of Wairoa, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first days of February and August during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses was hereunto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Wairoa Borough Council in the presence of—

KAWHIA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Kawhia County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £2,750 authorized to be raised by the Kawhia County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, for the purpose of widening and metalling portions of the Awaroa-Mahoe and Kaimango Roads, the said Kawhia County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1¾d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Awaroa Special-rating Area, being the whole of that portion of the County of Kawhia included within the following boundaries: Commencing at the north-western corner of Te Awaroa B 4, Section 7; towards the north by Te Awaroa B 4, Sections 5 and 6; towards the north-east by Section 4, Block XVI, Kawhia North S.D.; towards the north-west by the said Section 4 and Te Awaroa B No. 1A; towards the north, west, and north-west by Section 1, Block XVI, Kawhia North S.D.; towards the east by Crown land, Block XIII, Pirongia S.D.; towards the south and towards the west generally by the Waitomo County to the south-eastern corner of Section 6, Block XII; towards the south by Section 7, Block XII, Kawhia South S.D., to the westernmost corner thereof; thence crossing a road to the southernmost corner of Section 4, Block VIII; thence towards the south generally by the Awakino County to a point on the south-western boundary-line of Section 2, Block XII, due east of the easternmost corner of Section 3, Block X, Kawhia South S.D.; towards the south-west and west by Sections 5, Block XI, 11, 7, and 5, Block VII, 11, 10, 8, 6, and 4, Block III, Kawhia South S.D., and Hauturu West G No. 2, Section 1, to the north-western corner of Section 1A, Block XV, Kawhia North S.D.; towards the north-west by Te Awaroa A Nos. 4 and 5; thence towards the west generally by the Awaroa River to a point opposite the North-western corner of Te Awaroa B 4, Section 7; thence across a road to the point of commencement.
