Consenting to Land being taken for the Purposes of a Stopbank in the River District as defined by the Waihou and Ohinemuri Rivers Improvement Act, 1910.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this 24th day of November, 1913

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, in section fifteen thereof, inter alia, enacted that, except for the purpose of a railway or for defence purposes, or for the purposes of any other work to be made under the authority of a special Act, there shall not be taken any land occupied by any building, yard, garden, orchard, or vineyard, or in bona fide occupation as an ornamental park or pleasure-ground, without the previous consent of the Governor in Council:

And whereas the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken under the said Act for a public work:

And whereas the said land is occupied by buildings, and it is expedient to give such consent as aforesaid:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Waihou and Ohinemuri Rivers Improvement Act, 1910, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for the purposes of a stopbank as aforesaid.

All in the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District.

Consenting to Land being taken for the Purposes of a Drill-shed in the Town of Hokitika.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of November, 1913.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, in section fifteen thereof, inter alia, enacted that, except for the purpose of a railway or defence purposes, or for the purposes of any other work to be made under the authority of a special Act, nothing in this Act contained shall authorize the taking of any land occupied by any building, yard, garden, or vineyard, or in bona fide occupation as an ornamental park or pleasure-ground, without the previous consent of the Governor in Council:

And whereas part of the land described in the Schedule hereto is occupied by a building, and the Minister of Public Works has recommended the Governor to issue an Order in Council under the said Act consenting to the taking of the said land for the purposes of a drill-shed in the Town of Hokitika:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for the purposes above mentioned.

Declaring Road in Block X, Mangonui Survey District, to be a Government Road.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of November, 1913.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a Government road.
