Applications invited for the Position of Inspector of Mines.

Office of Public Service Commissioner,

Wellington, 5th November, 1913.

  1. APPLICATIONS will be received up till noon on the 2nd December, 1913, for the position of Inspector of Mines at Dunedin.

  2. Applications must be addressed to the Secretary to the Public Service Commissioner, Wellington, and must embrace a statement of education and experience, particulars of age, &c.

  3. Applicants must be not more than forty years of age.

  4. Applicants must be holders of first-class mine managers' certificates under the Mining Act, 1908.

  5. It will be regarded as an additional qualification if candidates possess battery superintendents' certificates and first-class mine-managers' certificates under the Coal-mines Act.

  6. Salary, £325; maximum, £365. Professional Division.

  7. Appointment to be subject to the Public Service Act, 1912.

Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, 1st November, 1913.

NOTICE is hereby given that the lease of the undermentioned land having been forfeited by resolution of the Nelson Land Board, the said land has thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.
