lay, construct, put up, place, or use any electric line except under the authority of a license issued to him by the Governor in Council under that Act:
And whereas the Ngaruawahia Town Board (hereinafter referred to as “the Board”) desires to erect electric lines for lighting and power purposes in a portion of the Raglan County, and it is expedient accordingly to issue a license in respect thereof under the said section:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the said section, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth, subject to the conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto, hereby authorize and license the Board to erect, construct, lay down, and maintain electric lines for lighting and power purposes within that portion of the Raglan County which comprises Sections 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39a, 39b, 40, 41, 42, 43, 46, and 47, Parish of Waipa, Block VII, Newcastle Survey District, such portion of the Raglan County being indicated by a green border on the plan marked P.W.D. 33969, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District.

SCHEDULE.
CONDITIONS.

The conditions subject to which electric lines are authorized to be erected by this license shall be the same as the conditions subject to which the Ngaruawahia Town Board was authorized to erect electric lines within the Ngaruawahia Town District by a license dated the 12th day of April, 1913, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 33, page 1364, of the 17th day of April, 1913.

Notwithstanding anything hereinbefore contained, the Ngaruawahia Town Board shall not be entitled to erect, maintain, or use any electric line within the Raglan County except subject to such conditions, not inconsistent with the provisions of its license and the conditions relating thereto, as may from time to time be agreed on between the Ngaruawahia Town Board and the Raglan County Council.

Authorizing the Sale of Land in the City of Wellington under the Public Works Act, 1908.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this third day of November, 1913.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by section thirty of the Public Works Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other Act or Provincial Ordinance, or otherwise howsoever for any public work, is not required for such public work the Governor may, by Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions set forth in the said Act:
And whereas a memorial has been laid before the Governor by the Wellington City Council and the Kelburne and Karori Tramway Company (Limited), (hereinafter called the said Council and company respectively), accompanied by a map, setting forth that certain land was acquired for tramway purposes:
And whereas the said land, as described in the Schedule hereto, is not now required by the said Council and company for the purposes aforesaid, and the said Council and company desire to sell the same:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the land described in the Schedule hereto to be dealt with and sold in the manner prescribed by and subject to the conditions of the thirtieth and following sections of the said Act.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Lake Ellesmere Domain.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this third day of November, 1913.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain:
And whereas by an Order in Council made on the nineteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and three, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-second day of October, one thousand nine hundred and three, certain powers were delegated to the Lake Ellesmere Domain Board for a period of ten years:
And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed, expired on the eighteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen:
And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the domain:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

JOHN WOLFE,
GEORGE MCBEAN,
ALBERT HENRY KIMBER,
BENJAMIN MICHAEL MOORHOUSE, and
THE COMMISSIONER OF CROWN LANDS, CHRISTCHURCH (ex officio),
to be the Lake Ellesmere Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the twenty-sixth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, at half past two o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the office of Messrs. W. Jameson and Son, 166 Manchester Street, Christchurch, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

LAKE ELLESMERE DOMAIN.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 20 acres, more or less, being Reserve No. 3048 (in red), situate in Block XII, Leeston Survey District. Bounded towards the east and south by Sections 19 and 18 of Block X, Reserve 959, 2088·3 links and 728·3 links respectively; towards the west by a road fronting the Selwyn River, distances aggregating 2143·2 links; and towards the north by a road, 1170·5 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1500/14A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
