Minister’s Decisions under Customs Duties Act.

Department of Trade and Customs, Wellington, 4th February, 1913.

IT is hereby notified for public information that the Hon. the Minister of Customs has decided to interpret the Customs Duties Act in relation to the undermentioned articles as follows:—

NOTE.—“Not otherwise enumerated” appears as n.o.e.; “other kinds” as o.k.; “articles and materials suited only for, and to be used solely in, the fabrication of goods in the Dominion” as a. & m.s. Articles marked thus † are revised decisions.

Unclaimed Property.

WHEREAS by section 89 of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part III), it is enacted that the Public Trustee shall publish in the New Zealand Gazette, and in some newspaper circulating in the district in which the property is situated, a notice of his intention to exercise the powers conferred on him by virtue of Part III of the said Act:

Now, this is to notify that the Public Trustee is about to exercise, in respect of the estate of ROBERT BAXTER, formerly of Mount Hutt, Methven, in the Provincial District of Canterbury, Sheep-musterer, but whose present whereabouts are unknown, the powers conferred on him under section 87 of the said Act by an order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand made at Wellington on the 29th day of January, 1913.
