SECOND SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF LANDS TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing 5 acres 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, being Section 20, Block XII, Mangawhero Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the River Bank Road on the western side of the Turakina River, being the south-east corner of Section 13; towards the east and south generally by the River Bank Road as aforesaid, 2525 links; towards the west by Section 1, 233·8 links; and towards the north by Section 13 aforesaid, 1069·3 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 558/32A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Also all that area in the Wellington Land District, containing 2 acres 3 roods 24 perches, more or less, being Section 21, Block XII, Mangawhero District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the western side of the Turakina Valley Road, being originally the south-east corner of Section 1; towards the south by Section 22, 243·2 links; towards the west generally by the said Section 1, 672 links; towards the north generally by the said Section 1, 301 links and 393·7 links; thence towards the east generally by the Turakina Valley Road, 286·3 links, 332·1 links, and 135·3 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 558/32B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Powers delegated to the Summit Road Scenic Board under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby vest the control of the reserves described in the Schedule below (being land reserved under the said Act), as from the date of this notice until the 22nd day of September, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen (unless previously altered or revoked under the said Act), in the undermentioned persons, who are known as the Summit Road Scenic Board, namely,--
THE COMMISSIONER OF CROWN LANDS FOR THE CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT (ex officio),
HENRY GEORGE ELL, Esq., M.P., Christchurch,
LEONARD COCKAYNE, Esq., Ph.D., Liiwood,
WILLIAM REECE, Esq., Christchurch,
ARTHUR ROSCOE VERNON MORTEN, Esq., Hornby,
GEORGE THOMAS BOOTH, Esq., New Brighton, and
GEORGE HARPER, Esq., Riccarton.
(herein referred to as “the Board”), in trust for the preservation of scenery, and subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say,--
MEETINGS.

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the first Tuesday in each month, at half past three o’clock p.m., at the District Lands Office, Christchurch, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board.

Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

Any four members of the Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

The Commissioner of Crown Lands shall be the Chairman of the Board, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote.

The Board shall prepare and submit at an annual meeting to be held in the month of April in each year a report of the proceedings of the Board for the previous year ending on the thirty-first day of March, together with a statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Board for such year. A copy of every such report and statement, certified by the Chairman to be correct, shall be sent to the Minister in Charge of Scenery Preservation as soon as possible after each annual meeting.

If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be chairman of such meeting.

If, by resignation, death, incapacity, or otherwise, the seat of any member shall be or become vacant, or if any member absents himself, without reasonable cause, from three consecutive meetings of the Board, the Governor shall have power to appoint any other person to be a member of the Board in his stead.

All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.
SCHEDULE.
HOON HAY PARK SCENIC RESERVE.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 41 acres 1 rood 13 perches, more or less, being Reserve 3901 (in red), Block III, Halswell Survey District, commencing at a point on the eastern side of Summit Road, distant 578·6 links north-east from the northernmost corner of Rural Section 452z. Bounded towards the north-east by part of Rural Section 452, 1551·8 links; towards the east generally by Rural Section 36015, 2561·9 links; towards the south-east and south generally by Lot 3, D.P. 2905, 4554·5 links; towards the west by said Lot 3 and part of Rural Section 33742, 251·1 links; and towards the north and again towards the west generally by Summit Road, 7239·6 links, to the point of commencement: save and except a public road 1 chain wide passing through the above-described area: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 693/3A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
CORONATION HILL SCENIC RESERVE.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 8 acres 1 rood 31 perches, more or less, being Reserve 3900 (in red), and being part of Rural Section 34651, situated in Block III, Halswell Survey District, commencing at the junction of Kennedy’s Bush Road and Dyers Pass Road. Bounded towards the east by Dyers Pass Road, 1487·9 links; towards the south by other part of said Section 34651, 571·9 links; and towards the west and north by Kennedy’s Bush Road, 1641·3 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 693/3B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
JOHN KING and
PETER WILLIAM RIVE
to be Trustees, in the place of Thomas Lunam King, deceased, and Andrew Innis, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Georgetown Public Cemetery, in conjunction with John Henderson and Alexander Rattray, previously appointed.
