SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of road in the Auckland Land District, Opotiki County, known as the Opotiki to Motu Road, commencing at its junction with the Petipeti Road and proceeding thence in a north-westerly direction generally, adjoining Section 1, Block XV, Sections 2 and 1 (scenic reserve), Block XIV, Sections 1 and 4, Block X, Section 4 (forest reserve), Block XIV, and terminating at a point near the northern boundary of the said Section 4 (forest reserve), Block XIV, all in the Waiawa Survey District, being a distance of 6 miles 75 chains, more or less ; as the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 32902, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

Exempting Portion of the South-east Side of Vogel Street, Christchurch, from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to certain Conditions as to the Building-line.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifth day of February, 1913.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply in any case where a local authority having control of a road or street declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor in Council :

And whereas by subsection two of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, inter alia, provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such conditions as the Governor by Order in Council thinks fit to impose, and may refer to one or both sides of the road or street :

And whereas the Christchurch City Council, the local authority having control of the portion of street described in the Schedule hereto, did by resolution declare that the provisions of the said section one hundred and seventeen should not apply to the south-east side of the said portion of street : And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved, subject to the condition hereinafter mentioned :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the said resolution, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the south-east side of the said portion of street within a distance of twenty-five feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of street in the City of Christchurch, Canterbury Land District, known as Vogel Street, commencing at its junction with Tweed Street, and running in a south-westerly direction along the north-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 313, part of R.S. 41, to the north-western corner of the said Lot 1, being a distance of 146·8 links, more or less ; as the said street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 32302, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

Vesting a Bridge-protection Reserve in the Ashburton County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifth day of February, 1913.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for bridge-protection purposes : And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Ashburton County :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the fourth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Ashburton County, in trust, for bridge-protection purposes.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 70 acres, more or less, being reserve numbered 3905 (formerly portion of Reserve 1923), situated in Block XIII, Ashburton Survey District, and bounded north-eastward by Reserve 2668, south-eastward by a line in continuation of the south-eastern boundary of the Borough of Ashburton, south-westward by Rural Section 4354, and north-westward by the north-western side of the main South Road ; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1912/467b, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered blue.

Vesting a Reserve in the Horowhenua County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifth day of February, 1913.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a site for a public library and reading-room : And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Horowhenua County :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the fourth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Horowhenua County, in trust, as a site for a public library and reading-room.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 30·3 perches, more or less, being part of Section No. 232, Town of Shannon. Bounded towards the north-west by Plimmer Terrace, 75·76 links ; towards the north-east by the other part of Section No. 232, 250 links ; towards the south-east by Section No. 230, 75·76 links ; and towards the south-west by Section No. 233, 250 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less : as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 52152/38, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a site for a public building to be used as a library and other purposes, for the use and benefit of the inhabitants of Tuapeka Mouth and surrounding district : And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Tuapeka Mouth Coronation Hall and Public Library (Incorporated) :
