Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Ellesmere Domain.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of October, 1913.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain:
And whereas by an Order in Council made on the twenty-eighth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and three, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and three, certain powers were delegated to the Ellesmere Domain Board for a period of ten years:
And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the twenty-seventh day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen:
And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the domain:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

GEORGE McCLURE,
ERNEST FRANK COE,
JOHN ARMITT SCOTT, and
LEONARD THOMAS HARTNELL
to be the Ellesmere Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the third day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, at two o’clock p.m., as the time when, and Mr. W. Scott’s Office, Southbridge, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.
ELLESMERE DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 213 acres, more or less, being Reserve No. 1630 (in red), situate in Block I, Ellesmere Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Rural Section 14510, 2351 links; towards the south-east by Rural Section 15026, 604 links; again towards the north-east by Rural Section 15026, 3000 links; towards the south-east by Reserve No. 964, 500 links; towards the north-east by Reserve 964, 1000 links; towards the south-east by Feredays Road, 1341 links, and by Rural Section 6730, 3656 links; towards the south-west and north-west by public roads, 2281 links and 5158 links respectively, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L and S. 1444/36A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section forty-seven of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of any public domain:
And whereas by an Order in Council made on the twenty-second day of October, one thousand nine hundred and six, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-fifth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and six, powers were delegated to the Kaiapoi Domain Board in respect of the Kaiapoi Domain for a period of seven years:
And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the twenty-first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen:
And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the said domain:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
THE KAIAPOI BOROUGH COUNCIL
to be the Kaiapoi Domain Board, having the control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Tuesday, the twenty-eighth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, at half past seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Borough Council Chambers, Kaiapoi, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.
KAIAPOI DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 138 acres, more or less, being Reserve No. 3731, in red (formerly part of Reserve 1579), situate in Blocks XII and XVI, Rangiora Survey District. Bounded towards the north by the road forming the southern boundary of Reserve No. 3728; towards the east by the western boundary of the Beach Reserve, the same being distant 20 chains from the high-water mark of the ocean; towards the south by Reserve No. 3658; and towards the west generally by Saltwater Creek, by part of the south-east and north-east boundaries of Rural Section 13686, by the road forming the north-west and north-east boundaries of Rural Sections 13686 and 22534, and by the southern and eastern boundaries of Rural Sections 11361 and 11323, to the point of commencement.
Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 122 acres, more or less, being Reserve No. 3658, in red (formerly part of Reserve 1579), situate in Block XVI, Rangiora Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by a line, the same being the north-west boundary of Rural Section 9560 produced in a north-easterly direction to a point distant 20 chains from the high-water mark of the ocean, the said point being the western boundary of the Beach Reserve; thence towards the east by the Beach Reserve; towards the south generally by the road reserved along the northern bank of the River Waimakariri; thence towards the west generally by the Saltwater Creek, to the point of commencement.
Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 15 acres and 32 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 74 (in red), situate in Block XVI, Rangiora Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east and south-east by Rural Section 1289, 800 and 1900 links respectively; towards the south-west by Rural Section 3382, 800 links; and towards the north-west by the old North Road, 1900 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 25226/49A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
