Altering Regulations for Trout and Perch Fishing in the Auckland Acclimatization District.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of October, 1913.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS it is enacted in Part II of the Fisheries Act, 1908, that the Governor in Council may from time to time, by Order in Council gazetted, make regulations to have force and effect throughout New Zealand or only in such waters or places as are specified in the regulations:

And whereas by Order in Council dated the twenty-second day of July, one thousand nine hundred and seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 64, of the twenty-fifth day of the same month, regulations for the Auckland Acclimatization District were made, providing, inter alia, that no lure or bait other than the natural or artificial fly or natural or artificial minnow, and any small indigenous fish, insect, grasshopper, beetle, spider, caterpillar, or creeper, shall be used in any of the rivers or streams in the said acclimatization district, and it is desirable to alter such regulations by providing that artificial fly only shall be used for taking trout in that portion of the Mangaokiwa River, in the King-country, which lies between the south side of the Government quarry and the north side of Wilton’s lime-kiln:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby add the following proviso to clause eight of the herein-before-recited regulations:—

“Provided that no bait other than artificial fly shall be used for taking fish in that portion of the Mangaokiwa River, in the King-country, which lies between the south side of the Government quarry and the north side of Wilton’s lime-kiln.”

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Census and Statistics Act, 1910 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and direct that the account described in section twenty-eight of the said Act shall be taken on the twentieth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.

Directing Sale of Land under the Public Works Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of October, 1913.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by the thirtieth section of the Public Works Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other Act or Provincial Ordinance, or otherwise howsoever for any public work, is not required for such public work, the Governor may, by an Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions set forth in the said Act:

And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister has recommended the Governor to issue an Order in Council directing the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto:

And whereas the said land is not now required for the public work for which it was taken, and it is desirable to sell the same:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers and authority conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the said land.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Katikati Domain.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of October, 1913.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by section forty-seven of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, by Order in Council gazetted, appoint any local authority to be the Domain Board having, subject to the said Act, control of any public domain:

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the twenty-first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and two, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the sixth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and two, a Domain Board was appointed to control the Katikati Domain.

And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the twentieth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twelve:

And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

The Katikati Road Board

to be the Katikati Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the fifteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, at half past two o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Road Board Office, Katikati, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

KATIKATI DOMAIN.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 80 acres, more or less, and being Allotment No. 25, Parish of Katikati. Bounded towards the north-east by Allotment No. 26, Parish of Katikati, 1885·9 links; towards the south-east by the aforesaid allotment and a public road 100 links wide along the Katikati Entrance, 2345, 64·1, 273·1, 240, 290·4, 370·4, 306·5, 476·4, 455·1, and 175·6 links respectively; towards the south-west by a
