County boundary as described in the First Schedule to the Waitomo County Act, 1904, to the commencing-point.
Otorohanga Riding.
All that area of land in the Auckland Land District, being portion of the Waitomo County bounded towards the north generally by the Te Rauamoa Riding hereinbefore described, extending from the north-western corner of Section Tapuaehounuku No. 2b, Block XIII, Pirongia, in an easterly direction to the county boundary near the Puketarata Trig. No. 1377; thence in a southerly direction along the county boundary to the south-east corner of Section No. 56b, Rangitoto A, Block XI, Mangaorongo; thence in a westerly direction along the southern boundary of the said Section No. 56b and of Sections Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 15a, Rangitoto A No. 42b, Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 33b 2 and No. 33c of Block 10, Mangaorongo; thence in a southerly direction along eastern boundaries of Sections 1, 2, and 3; thence westerly along the northern boundaries of Sections 4 and 7, Block X, Mangaorongo, and Sections 17, 16, 12, 9, 6, 4 of Block IX, Mangaorongo; thence along the eastern boundaries of Te Kuiti No. 2b No. 20, Te Kuiti No. 2b 21b, and Section 1, Block IX, Mangaorongo; thence along the northern boundary of Section 4, Pukeroa-Hangatiki No. 2c 3 of Block XII, Orahiri; thence in a northerly direction along eastern boundary of Hauturu East No. 2a 3, and of Sections 8a and 7a of Block VIII, Orahiri; thence in a westerly direction along the southern boundaries of Hauturu East E 2 7b, Section 15, Section 16, Section 17, Section 22, and Section 12 of Block VII, Orahiri Survey District, Sections 3 and 1 of Block II, Orahiri Survey District; thence in a northerly direction along the western boundaries of Sections 6a and 6b; thence in a northerly direction along the Orongo Road to south boundary of Section 2, Block I; thence westerly along the said boundary of Section 2; then following in a northerly direction along the Hauturu Road to south-east corner of Section 5a; thence west along south boundary of the said Section 5a and Section 5 to the county boundary; and thence in a northerly direction along the county boundary to the place of commencement, as described in the First Schedule to the Waitomo County Act, 1904.
Waitomo Riding.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, being that portion of the Waitomo County bounded on the north generally by the Otorohanga Riding hereinbefore described, commencing at the south-west corner of Section 5, Block I, Orahiri, and running easterly to railway-line at the north-east corner of Pukeroa-Hangatiki No. 1a; thence along the western boundary of the Hangatiki Riding hereinbefore described to the north-east corner of Te Kumi No. 7; thence in a westerly direction along the southern boundaries of Sections Piha Nos. 1 and 2, Pehitawa No. 2b 3b and No. 2b 2 of Blocks XIV and XV, Orahiri Survey District, Pehitawa 2b 1b and 2b 1a, Hauturu East 1e 5c 2d 1, Section 4a 1, Orahiri, Kinohaku East 1b 4b 6 of Block XIV, Orahiri, Kinohaku East No. 1b 4b 7, Section 1a, of Block XIII, Orahiri, Sections 5, 9, Kinohaku East No. 2 No. 13b 2, Section 8, Kinohaku West, No. 3b to county boundary; thence along the county boundary as described in the Second Schedule to the Waitomo County Act, 1904, to the place of commencement.
Mairoa Riding.
All that area of land in the Waitomo County, bounded on the north generally by the Waitomo Riding respectively hereinbefore described, commencing at the north-west corner of Kinohaku East No. 2 No. 6b 2, Block XVI, Kawhia South Survey District, and running easterly to the railway-line at the north-east corner of Te Kumi No. 7; thence along the western boundary of the Hangatiki Riding respectively hereinbefore described to the Te Kuiti Borough boundary; thence along the north-western boundary of the said borough to the north-east corner of Pukenui No. 2t; thence running westerly along the northern boundaries of Pukenui No. 2t, Pukenui 2c, Pukenui No. 1b, of Block III, Otanake Survey District, Sections 2 and 1, Block II, Otanake; thence along the western boundaries of Section 1, Block II, Otanake, and Section 1, Block VI, Otanake; thence along the northern boundary of Kinohaku East No. 2 No. 24a; thence along the western boundary of the said section and Kinohaku East No. 2 No. 20 of Block VI, Otanake; thence along the southern boundaries of Kinohaku East No. 28 No. 14, No. 2 No. 28 No. 15, No. 2 No. 28 No. 16b South No. 2 No. 4b, No. 2 No. 4b No. 1 of Block V, Otanake, No. 15, Kinohaku West K No. 1, 14a, 14, 15, 15a, Block VIII, Maungamangero 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Block VII, Maungamangero, and Section 7, Block VI, Maungamangero, to the county boundary; thence in a northern direction along the county boundary as described in the Second Schedule to the Waitomo County Act, 1904, to the place of commencement.
Paemako Riding.
All that area in the Auckland and Taranaki Land Districts, being that portion of the Waitomo County bounded on the north generally by the southern boundary of the Mairoa Riding hereinbefore described, commencing at the north-west corner of Section 3, Block VI, Maungamangero Survey District, and running in an easterly direction to the north-east corner of Section 2, Block II, Otanake Survey District; thence along the western boundary of Pukenui No. 1b, Pukenui 2r 1, Pukenui 2r 4, Pukenui 2l 1, to the Mokau River in Block VII, Otanake; thence along the eastern boundaries of Maraetaua Section BN, Maraetaua AA, Maraetaua 7b, Crown Section, and Sections 8 and 10 of Block II, Totoro Survey District, Sections 3, 4, 6 of Block V, Totoro Survey District, fronting the Mapara River; thence along the Mapara River to the south-east corner of Section 17, Block IV, Totoro Survey District; thence along the eastern boundary of Aorangi B No. 1 to the north-east corner of Section 2, Block XI, Totoro Survey District; thence in a western direction along the northern boundary of Sections 2 and 1, part of Aorangi A, to the Mokau River; thence along the Mokau River to the county boundary as described in the Second Schedule of the Waitomo County Act, 1904, following the boundary in a northern direction to the place of commencement.
Aria Riding.
All that area in the Taranaki Land District, being that portion of the Waitomo County bounded on the north by the southern portion of the Paemako Riding, commencing at the south-east corner of Karu-o-te-whenua B No. 2 No. 5b and running in an easterly direction to the south-east corner of Section 4, Block V, Totoro Survey District; thence along the Mapara Stream in an easterly direction to the south-east corner of Section 3, Block III, Mapara Trig., Aramatai; thence in a southerly direction to Trig. Orongokoekoi, thence to the Kurakura Stream, thence along the stream to the north-eastern boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua 61m; thence in a southerly direction along southern boundary of Rangitoto 61m to the Okiwiriki Trig.; thence along the eastern boundaries of Puhanga 61l, 61j (part), 61k, of Section 12, Totoro Survey District, Sections 25, 28, and 31, Block IV, Tangitu Survey District, to the boundary of Waitomo and Ohura Counties, New Zealand Gazette No. 59, of 20th July, 1911; thence in a westerly direction along the boundaries of Ohura and Waitomo County to the Mokau River; thence in a northerly direction along the Mokau River to the place of commencement.
Te Kuiti Riding.
All that area in the Auckland and Taranaki Land Districts, being that portion of the Waitomo County bounded on the north generally by the southern portion of the Hangatiki Riding hereinbefore described, commencing at the Te Kuiti Borough boundary and following the Mangaokewa to the north-west corner of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 68b; thence in an easterly direction to the county boundary at Trig. Rangitoto 1641, from thence in a southerly direction along the county boundary to the south-west corner of Rangitoto A No. 31b; thence along the southern boundary of Crown land to the Mokau River, following the Mokau River to the north-east corner of part Mangapeehi No. 68c; thence along the north boundary of the said section; thence in a southerly direction along the eastern boundary of Sections 4 and 2, Block 4, Mapara Survey District, Section 1, Block VIII, Mapara; thence along the southern boundaries of Section 1, Block VIII, Mapara, Sections 5 and 3, Blocks III and IV, Mapara; thence along the northern boundary of the Aria Riding respectively hereinbefore described; thence by the eastern boundary of the Paemako Riding respectively hereinbefore described to the Te Kuiti Borough boundary; thence along the southern boundary of the said borough to the place of commencement.
Tangitu Riding.
All that area of land in the Taranaki Land District, being that portion of the Waitomo County bounded on the north generally by the Te Kuiti Riding hereinbefore described, commencing at the Trig. Aromatai, Block III, Mapara, and running in an easterly direction to the county boundary at the south-west corner of Rangitoto A No. 31b, Block X, Ranginui; thence along the county boundary in a southerly direction to Trig. Pureara No. 1390; thence in a westerly direction along the Ongarue River to the railway-line; thence in a southerly direction along the railway-line to the Waitomo County boundary and Ohura County boundary; thence in a westerly direction along the said boundaries to the south-east corner of the Aria Riding hereinbefore described; thence along the eastern boundary of the said Aria Riding to the place of commencement.
The above special order redividing the Waitomo County into ridings and fixing representation was duly made in accordance with the Counties Act, 1908.
