Approving and appointing a Bonding Warehouse.
CUSTOMS.—In exercise of the powers in me for this purpose vested by the Customs Law Act, 1908, I, the Minister of Customs, do hereby approve and appoint the undermentioned warehouse to be a warehouse for the reception of goods under bond, namely:—
Port of Auckland.
Part of the ground floor of a brick building, roofed with iron, situated in Fort Street Lane, City of Auckland, to be known as
LEVER’S BOND.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block V, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District, for Road Purposes.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road in Block V, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.
And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Te Teko, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.

Prohibition of Money-order and Postal Correspondence for J. Stellin, Wellington.
THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the person whose name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is engaged in receiving money as the consideration for an assurance or agreement implied to pay money on events relating to horse-races, it is hereby ordered, under section 28 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, that no money-order in favour of the said person shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said person (either by his own or any fictitious or assumed name), or to such address without a name, shall be either registered, forwarded, or delivered by the Post Office of New Zealand.

Applications invited for the Position of Station Superintendent for the Lake Coleridge Electric Power Plant.
Office of Public Service Commissioner,
Wellington, 23rd September, 1913.
APPLICATIONS will be received in this office up till noon on the 20th October next for the position of Station Superintendent for the Lake Coleridge Electric Power Plant.
Applications must be addressed to the Secretary to the Public Service Commissioner, and must embrace a statement of education and experience, particulars of age, &c.
Applicants must (1) be trained mechanics, and have had experience in erecting heavy machinery, in operating electric generating stations with units of 1,000 kilowatts or larger, and in operating large alternators in parallel; (2) submit particulars of any experience in the operation of hydraulic turbines, high-tension electric power transmission, and of any marine service.
The successful applicant will be required to take up his duties on the 1st December, 1913. Such duties will consist, during erection, in supervising the erection of the Lake Coleridge Power-station, and, after completion, in superintending the operation and maintenance of the plant and headworks and the installation of extensions as required. The Superintendent will be responsible for all records and reports on the operation and conditions of the plant as they are required. His normal duties will occupy forty-eight hours per week at such time as the conditions of operation require, but, to meet any emergencies, whatever attention is required will have to be given.
The Superintendent will be entitled to three weeks’ holiday in each year on full pay, but shall give such attention as the duties require on Sundays and public holidays. He will be responsible to the Engineer in Charge of the system in Christchurch, to whom he will report.
Salary, £300 per annum, rising to £365; Professional Division.
A six-roomed house, with sanitary conveniences, water-supply, and electric lighting will be available at a rental of 15s. per week.
The appointment will be subject to the provisions of the Public Service Act, 1912.

Applications invited for the Position of Ranger for the Rotorua Acclimatization District.

Wellington, 24th September, 1913.
APPLICATIONS will be received in this office up till noon on the 20th October, 1913, for the position of Ranger for the Rotorua Acclimatization District.
Applications must be addressed to the Secretary to the Public Service Commissioner, and must embrace a statement of education and experience, particulars of age, &c.
Applicants must be able to drive an oil-launch, and must also be good horsemen. The successful applicant will be required to reside at Rotorua, and make himself thoroughly conversant with the fisheries and animals protection laws of the Dominion, and the local regulations for trout-fishing, and to actively range the district with a view to preventing or discovering breaches of the laws or regulations. He will be required to conduct prosecutions for breaches of Part II of the Fisheries Act, 1908, and any amendments thereto or regulations thereunder, and also for breaches of the Animals Protection Act, 1908, and the amendments thereto or regulations thereunder.
The Ranger will be an officer of the Department of Tourist and Health Resorts. The appointment will be subject to the provisions of the Public Service Act, 1912. Salary, £160 per annum; General Division.
Actual and reasonable travelling-expenses when absent from headquarters will be paid.
