WAIPUKURAU BOROUGH COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and
any amendments thereof, the Waipukurau Borough Council
hereby resolves :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorized to
be raised by the Waipukurau Borough Council, under the
above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of duplicating and
extending the water plant, providing meters and water-cart,
and repaying to General Account the amount paid in excess
of water loan, the said Waipukurau Borough Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of 27/128ths of a penny in
the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property
in the Borough of Waipukurau, comprising all that area in
the Hawke’s Bay Land District in Blocks XIV and XV,
Waipukurau Survey District, as shown upon the plan deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, under the
No. 54516, thereon bordered red ; and that such special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such
loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 31st day of May and
30th day of November in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.

raised by the Borough Council, under the above-mentioned
Act, for the purpose of improving Russell Park and paying
off balance of amount due on pavilion, the said Waipukurau
Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
1/19th of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of
all rateable property in the Borough of Waipukurau, comprising all that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District in
Blocks XIV and XV, Waipukurau Survey District, as shown
upon the plan deposited in the Head Office, Department of
Lands and Survey, Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, under the No. S.G. 54516, thereon bordered red ; and
that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the
31st day of May and 30th day of November in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of 21 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto
carried on by the undersigned under the style of
“W. J. Hopkins and Co.” has this day been dissolved by
mutual consent as from the 1st September instant.
Mr. W. J. HOPKINS will receive all the assets and discharge
all the liabilities of the firm.

THE LEVIN BOWLING-GREEN COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general
meeting of the above-mentioned company held at the
company’s office, Oxford Street, Levin, on the 12th day of
March, 1913, the following special resolutions were passed,
viz. :—
“(a.) That the company be wound up voluntarily.
“(b.) That FREDERICK GEORGE ROE and HERBERT EDWARD LODGE be appointed Liquidators.”
And at an extraordinary general meeting of the said company held at the same place on the 28th day of March, 1913,
the said special resolutions were duly confirmed.

OPOTIKI BOROUGH COUNCIL.

In the matter of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the
amendments of the same.

I, FRANCIS JAMES SHORT, of Opotiki, Mayor of the
Borough of Opotiki, hereby give notice that on the
twentieth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and
thirteen, a poll of ratepayers of the Opotiki Borough was duly
held and taken on the proposal of the Borough Council to
raise a special loan of £1,500 for the following purposes, the
amount applicable to each such purpose being set opposite
the statement for each such purpose respectively :—
(1.) Wharf improvements, estimate for wharf shed £ s. d.

(2.) Estimate for retaining-wall … … 204 7 2
(3.) Estimate for reclamation … … 226 13 0

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of the
taking under the said Act by the Waikohu County
Council of certain land within the County of Waikohu
for the purposes of a road.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Chairman, Councillors,
and Inhabitants of the Waikohu County, a local
authority duly authorized by law to construct public works,
intend, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908,
to take by Proclamation the following land, namely :—
All those pieces or parcels of land situate in the District
of Poverty Bay, containing by admeasurement in the aggregate 34 acres 2 roods and 36·8 perches, be the same a little
more or less, being parts of the Mangaooae 2A (4), 2A (6) ;
the Papakorokoro 2A (1), 2A (2), 2B ; the Waihora 1E ; the
Mangaoae 1P (1), 1P (2), 1P (3), 1R, 1S ; the Ahirau 2E (1),
2E (2), 2E (3), 2E (4), 2E (6) ; and the Papakcrokoro 2C and
2B Blocks, situated in Blocks II and V, Waimata Survey
District (Waikohu County).
By direction of the Waikohu County Council a plan of
the lands is deposited at the office of the Waikohu County
Council at Te Karaka, where the same may be inspected at
all reasonable hours.
The work proposed to be executed upon the said lands is
a public road, and the description of the lands is as shown
on the said plan.
All persons having any objections to the execution of such
works or the taking of such lands are hereby required to
send such objection in writing to the Waikohu County Council
on or before the 10th day of November, 1913.
