Declaring Land to be no longer subject to Part XIV of the Native Land Act, 1909.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day of September, 1913.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section eighteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1912, it is enacted that when any land is subject to Part XIV of the Native Land Act, 1909, and is vested in a Maori Land Board accordingly, the Governor may from time to time declare by Order in Council that such land or any part thereof shall no longer be subject to that Part of the said Act:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto and known as Mangaroa Block is now, by virtue of an Order in Council made on the fourteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and nine, and by virtue of the provisions of section two hundred and thirty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, subject to Part XIV of the said Act, and vested in the Tokerau District Maori Land Board accordingly:
And whereas the Governor is satisfied that the said land is not subject to any lease, license, contract of sale, or other alienation, and that no moneys are charged on the said land or on the revenues thereof in accordance with the said Act or under any other authority:
And whereas it is expedient that the said land should cease to be subject to Part XIV of the said Act:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section eighteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1912, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall no longer be subject to Part XIV of the Native Land Act, 1909.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece of land situated in the Mangakahia Survey District, containing 1,900 acres, more or less, and known as Mangaroa Block. Bounded towards the north by the Wairere Stream, towards the north-east by the Pipiwai Stream, towards the east by the Pipiwai No. 2 Block, and towards the south-west generally by Crown lands and unadjudicated Native lands.

Declaring a Native to be a European.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section seventeen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1912, it is enacted that the Governor may by Order in Council, on the recommendation of the Native Land Court, declare any Native to be a European:
And whereas Pani te Tau, of Masterton, being a Native within the meaning of the Native Land Act, 1909, applied in the prescribed form for a recommendation of the Court that she might be declared a European: And whereas the said Court, having duly inquired into the said application, has recommended that an Order in Council be issued declaring the said Pani te Tau to be a European: And whereas it is expedient that such declaration should be made:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority conferred on him by section seventeen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1912, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare the said Pani te Tau to be a European.

Prohibiting all Private Alienation of certain Native Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day of September, 1913.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order in Council, all alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienations in favour of the Crown.

Revocation of an Order in Council under Section 296 of the Native Land Act, 1909.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day of September, 1913.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section two hundred and ninety-six of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is enacted that any Order in Council made under Part XVI of that Act, or under Part II of the Native Land Settlement Act, 1907, may be at any time revoked, either wholly or as to any part or parts of the land included therein, by the Governor by Order in Council; and thereupon the land so subject to that Part of that Act shall, to the extent of that revocation, cease to be so subject: No land shall by reason of any such Order of revocation cease to be subject to that Part of that Act at any time during the continuance of the term of any lease of that land granted by a Maori Land Board under that Part of that Act (including in that term the term of any renewal to which the lessee is entitled):
And whereas a parcel of land known as Tokomaru K2 Block has, by an Order in Council dated the thirtieth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and nine, been brought under the provisions of Part XVI of the Native Land Act, 1909: And whereas application has been made to revoke the said Order in Council in so far as it affects the said parcel of land:
And whereas the Tairawhiti District Maori Land Board recommends accordingly: And whereas it is expedient so to do:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the said Order in Council in so far as it affects Tokomaru K2 Block; and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Native Land Act, 1909, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor in Council to the proceedings hereby authorized.
