Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 368
of the Native Land Act, 1909.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section three hundred and sixty-eight
of the Native Land Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred
to as “the said Act”), it is provided, inter alia, that the
Crown may purchase any Native land in pursuance of a
resolution of the assembled owners passed and confirmed
in accordance with Part XVIII of the said Act, and on
the resolution being adopted by the Native Land Purchase
Board it shall become a contract of purchase as between
the Crown and all persons who are the owners of the land;
and the Governor may by Proclamation, at any time after
the contract of purchase has been so made, declare that
the land so purchased is vested in His Majesty the King,
and it shall vest accordingly, and shall become Crown land:
And whereas a resolution was passed by a meeting of
assembled owners, and duly confirmed by the Tairawhiti
District Maori Land Board, that the land set out in the
Schedule hereto be sold to the Crown:
And whereas the Native Land Purchase Board duly con-
sidered and adopted the resolution:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power
and authority conferred upon me by section three hundred
and sixty-eight of the said Act, I, Arthur William de Brito
Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the land set
out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the
Land Act, 1908.

land and its Dependencies; and issued under
the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Govern-
ment House, at Wellington, this eighth day of Sep-
tember, in the year of our Lord one thousand
nine hundred and thirteen.

Confirming Resolutions made by the Buller County Council
under the Local Authorities Superannuation Act, 1908, and
its Amendments.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day of
September, 1913.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the Buller County Council has, by a special
resolution dated the fifteenth day of July, one thou-
sand nine hundred and thirteen, established a superannuation
fund under the Local Authorities Superannuation Act, 1908,
for the benefit of the permanent employees now or hereafter
in its service, and has also on the same date passed another
special resolution agreeing to grant as part of the scheme of
such fund to certain of its employees on their retirement an
additional annual allowance for the rest of their lives, on the
conditions contained in the said resolution, as authorized by
section two of the Local Authorities Superannuation Amend-
ment Act, 1912: And whereas it is expedient to confirm
the said resolutions:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Do-
minion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the
power and authority conferred upon him by section six of
the Local Authorities Superannuation Act, 1908, and acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby confirm the said resolu-
tions of the Buller County Council dated respectively the
fifteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thir-
teen; and doth declare that those resolutions shall take
effect as on and from the first day of October, one thousand
nine hundred and thirteen.

Declaring Road in Block VI, Waitapu Survey District, to be
a Government Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day of
September, 1913.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by
the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in
anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the
portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on
and after the date of this Order in Council become a Govern-
ment road.

SCHEDULE.

In the Nelson Land District; as the said road is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as
above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Minister
of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial
District.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Monkey Face Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day of
September, 1913.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by section forty-seven of the Public Reserves
and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the
said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time
to time, by Order in Council gazetted, appoint any local
authority to be the Domain Board having, subject to the
said Act, control of any public domain:
And whereas by an Order in Council made on the twenty-
first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and two, and
published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-seventh
day of June, one thousand nine hundred and two, powers
were delegated to the Monkey Face Domain Board, in respect
of the Monkey Face Domain, for a period of ten years:
And whereas the period for which the said Board was
appointed expired on the twentieth day of June, one thousand
nine hundred and twelve:
And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a
Domain Board to control the domain:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Do-
minion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by
the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
appoint

THE KAIKOURA COUNTY COUNCIL

to be the Monkey Face Domain Board, having the control of
the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes
of and subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act ;
